Where to Find the Best Pizza in Perth

In most capital cities, you’re rarely far away from a pizzeria, but if you’re wondering where to find the best pizza in Perth, look no further.

Pretty Good Pizza

Perth has a long-standing love affair with pizza, given its large Italian community. Many are entrenched in traditional pizza making, and the dedication to their dough. How it's handled, the length of time it rests before it's even allowed near the sauce, toppings or pizza oven is commendable. Then there’s the great pineapple debate, undoubtedly jostled about over a round of shared pizza, and as new pizza topping favourites are declared at one of these best pizza in Perth destinations.

Anyway you slice it, these pizza spots will have you declaring 'that's amore!'

Threecoins & Sons

Threecoins & Sons

For family, friends, and everyone in between. That's the ethos that spills into everything Threecoins & Sons stand for. Come here to be comforted by elevated classics, as you take a seat in an intimate dining room with checkered tablecloths.

Settle in for wood-fired pinsas (Roman-style pizzas) layered with the likes of mortadella, pineapple salsa, pickled peppers and parmigiano cream.

Served up with a bounty of Lambrusco Rosso wine, you'll soon be grinning from ear to ear as you wolf down one of the best pizzas in Perth.

Beaufort Square,  2/776 Beaufort Street, Mount Lawley

Lola's

Lola's

Lola's is a family-friendly pizzeria from the team behind Peggy's, serving up some serious vibes and serious Negronis alongside some of the best pizza in Perth.

The space is moody and light-filled in equal measure, housed in the Imperial Chambers building and awash with beetroot-coloured stone, jarrah timber, mustard yellow tiles, terracotta wine holders and more earthy toned colours.

The pizza menu is split evenly between red-sauce and white-based pies, with plenty of vegetarian options. Lola's dough is slow-fermented, stretched into thin bases, and cooked a little longer than a Neapolitan-style pizza - and it's majorly crispy and delicious. We're partial to their mushroom and potato pizzas; the potato confit-style, and layered with caramelised onion, pancetta and candied rosemary.

Sitchu Tip: You've got to try their grandma slice - a square-shaped, deep-sided pizza with a crunchy, high-walled crust of cheese.

41 Market Street, Fremantle

Vikka

Vikka

Vikka is a place for everyone, a relaxed and vibrant spot for pizza and small plates and BYO beer and wine, where you can ease into the weekend and dip your pizza crusts into sugo and stracciatella as you do so. The mushroom and prosciutto pizzas are to die for, but the potato pizza is our pick of the lot, lathered in a cream sauce, with potato, rosemary, pecorino, and fior di latte (add speck for extra salty goodness).

147 Oxford Street, Leederville

Dank Pizza

Dank Pizza

Dank Pizza dishes up delicious Neapolitan style pizza in Perth, made with loads of passion from their fiery pint-sized gas fired oven that reaches over 400°C. The dough is made using Italian Caputo Flour and is slow fermented to produce a pizza with incredible flavour and texture.

Every pizza is hand stretched, handmade and only cooked for 90 seconds, and they only use the freshest Italian and locally sourced ingredients. The result is some seriously epic tasting pie.

Plus, on Saturday mornings, it's an all out breakfast pizza party, as Dank combine with Twin Peaks Coffee Roasters from 7.00am to 12.00pm for a very lethal combo of coffee, pizza, cool t-shirts from Lo-Fi and more.

11/28 Rudloc Road, Morley

Maruzzella

Maruzzella

This unfussy, family-friendly Italian eatery offers pasta, grilled meats and buonissimo Napoli-style pizza, with wine and desserts to boot.

Maruzzella is a breath of fresh authentic Italian air, where pizza is made from scratch without yeast (since they make their own 'mother yeast').

The dough is proved for a minimum of 48 hours before it goes out on the plate, which makes it very easy to digest. Blistered and thick edges and thin in the middle, with high-quality toppings like San Marzano tomatoes, salsiccia, burrata and Tropea red onion...we're drooling just thinking about scarfing down our next slice. This is some of the best pizza in Perth.

71 Bennett Street, East Perth

Santini Bar & Grill

Santini Bar & Grill

We love the pizza at moody and splashed with intrigue, Santini Bar & Grill. This intimate hideout in downtown Perth is perfect for settling in with a creative cocktail and couple of shared pizzas, from the delicious eggplant parmigiana style to a white-based 'cacio e pepe' with clams. Dressed up even further in pecorino, mozzarella, stracciatella, pancetta and lemon, this is one of our favourite pizzas in Perth right now.

Grab a few small plates to match and you've got yourself a certified Italian feast.

Lalla Rookh

Lalla Rookh

With a menu drawing on the art of Italian eating, Lalla Rookh is a buzzing public bar, eatery and sit-down wine store that'll keep your pizza-wine-and-craft-beer loving heart satisfied. Their 'Il Capo' feed me menu gives you the chance to enjoy six of their impressive seasonal specials as a series of shared plates, but sampling all their crowd-pleasing pizzas is just as enticing. Choose from a classic margherita or salami with gorgonzola, burnt honey and rosemary, or take a bite of a delicious porchetta, smoked potato, cavolo nero and lemon variety. Be sure to check with staff for the pizza of the day special, then settle into the European-style alfresco courtyard for a slice of the good life... and some of the best pizza in Perth.

Dough Pizza (Image Credit: Ohlo Studio - Dezeen)

Dough Pizza

The Italian accents are almost as tasty as their dough at Neapolitan wood-fired pizza joint, Dough Pizza, which oozes retro vibes within its vintage black and white postered walls. The original pizzeria at the top-end of William Street in Northbridge became so popular that they’ve opened a second restaurant in Whitfords City Shopping Centre. While there are 23 toppings on offer, it's all about the dough, not that you’ll ever discover their secret recipe. Their Nutella and strawberry dessert pizzas are worth loosening your belt for, but you can lighten the load with their healthy salads.

434a William Street, Perth; Whitfords City Shopping Centre, Whitfords Avenue, Hillarys

Si Paradiso

Si Paradiso

Si Paradiso is Perth’s home of retro Italian vibes, delicious eats and cracking cocktails. And the pizza here is just as you'd expect - authentic, comforting and bursting with fresh flavours. Think a fresh, chewy dough, a golden crust covered in rich tomato sauce, and impressive toppings adding a burst of flavour to each slice. The Margherita pizza in particular is a standout dish, with its simple yet flavourful combination of San Marzano tomato, buffalo mozzarella, and fresh basil. Pizza perfection.

Locale Mio

Locale Mio

Translating to ‘my local’ is exactly what Guildford's residents have made it since this restaurant opened behind The Guildford Hotel. Locale Mio is certified Denominazione di Origine (DOP) for their blended flour, premium ingredients and dough resting for 48 hours before being wood-fired, their tomato-based and mozzarella-based sauces create a delicious bed for the classics like the Margherita and Calzone pizzas. Their hot and cold tapas, pasta and salads keep this place heaving, especially at lunchtime on Fridays and Saturdays for their $15 pizzas.

Corner 159 James and Johnson Street, Guildford (behind the Guildford Hotel)

Ruoccos Pizzeria E Ristorante

Ruocco’s Pizzeria E Ristorante

It only makes sense for one of Perth’s first wood-fired pizzerias to be in Fremantle, catering well to its extensive Italian community. This third-generation family-run restaurant is the real deal with the usual suspects, as well as the meat and tomato-based Ruocco’s Speciale and vegetarian Tony’s Special. Osso Buco, garlic prawns and house-made pasta are hearty alternatives if you manage to resist the goodies emerging from the wood-fired oven.

217 South Terrace, South Fremantle

Canteen Pizza

Canteen Pizza

Sometimes, the simple things in life are often the best, and what could be more enticing than plenty of outdoor seating made for sunset sips, with a side of delicious pizza?! Canteen Pizza live by their catch-phrase, “In the crust we trust,” and so can you at this beloved pizzeria, with its fresh, welcoming digs now residing in Applecross.

Featuring fresh ingredients, the menu also serves antipasti, fish, delicious sides, porchetta and sweets. A visit on Monday nights rewards with their Pizza and Pinot specials with a DJ and 50% off all pinot and oysters by master oyster shucker Jerry Fraser.

32 Ardross Street, Applecross

Mack Daddies

Mack Daddy’s New York Slice

Who’s your pizza daddy? Mack Daddy is the biggest pizza daddy of them all in Perth and is famed for his 16, 22 and 28-inch pizzas. Proof that sharing is caring, especially when tackling The Baller and Big Tony’s Pepperoni, Bottomless Brunches or the Big Clug’s 22-inch pizza challenge. Or be like a New Yorker and grab a slice while attempting to walk off some of that indulgence.

560 Beaufort Street, Mount Lawley

Pretty Good Pizza

Pretty Good Pizza

Calling themselves ‘pretty good’ is probably an undersell, because the pizza at this new Northbridge establishment is nothing short of mouthwatering. Channelling a pizza joint of the 80s, Pretty Good Pizza has a turntable that plays hip hop records and a vending machine for beer. While the seating area is small, offering just a few benches and stools in the window and some milk crates on the street, this relaxed pizza bar is big on flavour and fun. Our picks are the stracciatella, prosciutto, truffle oil and thyme, or go for a ricotta base, with gorgonzola, mozzarella, pecorino, provolone, walnuts and black pepper. Oof!

153 Beaufort Street, Perth

Monsterella.

Monsterella

Do as Zoe Foster Blake does and head here for some of the best pizza in Perth. Monsterella’s specialty is handmade wood-fired pizza – bringing the true Italian essence to the streets of Wembley with their ability to spin dough and simple ingredients into pizza perfection. They're winning all the points with their traditional flavour combinations and one seriously magical margherita. Buon appetito!

46 Grantham Street, Wembley

Pappagallo

Pappagallo

This unassuming Italian gem specialises in Italian cuisine, and it's where you can go to snap up some of the best pizza in Perth. We're in love with their tantalising flavour combinations; there's a diavola of San Marzano D.O.P, mozzarella, fresh hot Italian sausage, ventriciana salami, mushroom and chilli that serves big on the spicy front, a cacio e pepe option that has us drooling, and a stracciatella and zucchini flower special that sells like hotcakes when it's on special. Options are varied and never disappoint.
