WA’s borders are well and truly back open, and the paradisiacal region beckons with its famous wineries, friendly locals, and seriously photo-worthy beaches.

This week, Aussie entrepreneur and style icon Zoe Foster Blake took her *adorable* family on the ultimate holiday through WA, and we loved seeing some of our favourite local spots on her list. From its crystal-clear water and cute wildlife to its magical sunsets, it turns out the west really is the best. And you can bet your bottom dollar, we'll be booking our next summer trip there.

To bring you the best of Zoe Foster Blake’s trip, here’s where she ate, what she did, what she wore (of course!) and a few of our favourite hidden gems.

Where To Eat in Western Australia

North Street Store

This neighbourhood corner store in Cottesloe ticks all the delicious carb boxes. Those ‘wild cinni-scrolls’ Foster-Blake’s talking about? No joke. The bakers at North Street Store not only serve up incredible sweet treats, but they also offer a simple breakfast, lunch and dinner menu – think bacon and egg baguettes, porchetta sandwiches, hotcakes, pastas and more.

Monsterella Pizza

Monsterella’s specialty is handmade wood-fired pizza – bringing the true Italian essence to the streets of Wembley with their ability to spin dough and simple ingredients into pizza perfection. Pizza truly is the name of the game here, and they’re winning all the points with their traditional flavour combinations and one seriously magical Margherita. Buon appetito!

Lagoon Yallingup

Coastal chic has never been cooler than at Lagoon Yallingup. The refined yet casual seafood restaurant has good looks, food smarts and fine wine to match the beautiful town it resides in. In the mornings, it’s a smart little kiosk dishing up an impeccable breakfast spread and coffee, coffee, coffee; but come lunch, the seafood-forward menu and shareable plates are the ultimate post-swim fare.

Leeuwin Estate

Amp up the fancy like Ms Foster Blake at Leeuwin Estate, an uber-popular winery that’s been an ongoing celebration of fine wine, food, art and music for many years now. The restaurant itself has won almost as many awards as the wine, and current head chef Dan Gedge focuses on crafting a seasonal menu paired with the museum release wines.

Wise Winery

Experience beautiful wines, gin, fine food & breathtaking views at Wise Wine in Eagle Bay. Explore their cellar door, discover the delights of small batch distilling and take a seat in the only Margaret River winery with an ocean view. Where the vines meet the sea, that's the level of holidaying we should all now aspire for.

Things To Do in Western Australia

Kick it with the Quokkas at Rottnest Island

No Western Australia bucket list would be complete without paying a visit to Perth’s favourite playground, ‘Rotto’. Just a short ferry ride away from the city, this marine paradise has a lot going for it besides its beautiful white-sand beaches, coral reefs and turquoise bays – although they're wonderful too.

While Quokkas can be found all around the island, your best chance of snapping a selfie with one is to head to the Thomson Bay Settlement or the area around Wadjemup Lighthouse. Naturally curious and always happy to kick it with humans, these insanely cute critters are more than willing to crack a cheeky smile for a photo. Just be sure not to touch or feed them.

Bask in the Crystal Clear Waters at Yallingup Lagoon

This seaside suburb is one of the most popular and it's not hard to see why. Yallingup Lagoon is brimming with natural beauty, from its crystal clear waters and white sand beaches, to its underground caves, national parks and epic views of the Indian Ocean.

Splash in the Water at Cottesloe Beach

Jaw-dropping ocean views and burnt sunsets are year-round drawcards in the seaside suburb of Cottesloe.. As Marine Parade weaves its way along the coast with a café strip on one side and Cottesloe Beach on the other, the lucky residents relish the laid-back lifestyle and endless vistas.

Understandably, this coastal hotspot holds a special spot in the heart of many a local. Fish and chips at sunset is a Perth rite of passage and many a childhood memory has been formed along Cottesloe Esplanade.
