The Bridge House

Reviving the storied charm of North Fremantle’s historic One Harvest Road, The Bridge House has quickly established itself as one of the most exciting new restaurants in Perth. Housed in a character-filled 1925 building with a rich culinary legacy, this reimagined space blends nostalgic warmth with modern sophistication.

Led by passionate newcomer George Grundy, this neighbourhood gem boasts moody interiors, lush garden spaces, and a cosy private dining room. Chef Trent Dawson delivers a menu that’s equal parts comforting and elevated—think flamed Exmouth kingfish crudo, zucchini beignets with pine nut yoghurt, and Shark Bay prawn risotto. The star? A 24-hour lamb shoulder with malted mint jelly and black garlic sauce, paired with indulgent sides like twice-cooked kipfler potatoes and hunks of iceberg lettuce with sauce gribiche. Dreamy.

The carefully curated wine list reflects both Old and New World excellence, while the effortlessly welcoming vibes ensure this is one of Perth’s best restaurants, destined to keep you coming back time and time again.

Lygon Lane

This brand new restaurant in Perth was inspired by Melbourne’s Italian hub Lygon Street. An Asian-Italian fusion eatery and wine bar, heralded by Miss Chow’s Jackie Chan, Lygon Lane isn’t afraid to break the rules, offering up an innovative menu and eclectic embrace of flavours. It’s a celebration of traditional Italian cuisine with a contemporary Asian twist, and you’ll love the summery flavours of the miso salmon crudo. The panko crumb burrata is simply genius; the beef cheek with ginger coriander gremolata, inspired. Make sure to order up a serve of the XO and lap cheong creamy fettucine and do save room for dessert; there’s a matcha and ricotta tiramisu with your name on it.

This chic space also has a great big list of wines and cocktails ready to sip on well into the new year. Cheers, Lygon Lane!

Nestled in the heart of the Perth CBD, Stampa!, the new addition to the phenomenal Print Hall venue, is a true masterpiece of old-world Italian fine dining. The dimly lit, casually elegant interior, complete with gorgeous booth seating and a stunning feature wall, is the perfect backdrop to a lavish meal. The menu is outrageously good, with a particular emphasis on hand-made pastas, succulent meats, and seafood delicacies. Trust us when we say the Carpaccio Tonnato (beef carpaccio with a tuna and anchovy cream sauce) is life changing.

Testun

A neighbourhood osteria worth its weight in gold is Mt Lawley’s Testun. Enter a room charged with bold splashes of colour and technicolour decorations and enjoy a menu adding equally bold approaches to Italian dishes. It’s Neo-Italian done well; think beef wellington ‘tartare’ with mushroom pate, anchovy cream and puffed pastry, a burrata with carrot crema and fried brussels sprouts, and pappardelle with a brisket ragu. Unsurprisingly, Italian and Australian wines are well presented, minimal intervention in particular. Mangia mangia!
