Il Falco
Pizza night is already a firm favourite for most families, but Il Falco Pizza Bar in Mount Hawthorn takes it one step further with their generous Kids Eat Free special. Come by on a Wednesday or Thursday night, and with every paying adult, you’ll get a free Bambino pizza.
We should add: the pizza and pasta are seriously very good here, with plenty of delish antipasti plates to round out your meal as well. Parents can also throw on a negroni or spritz if they’re feeling thirsty. While kids can try their hand at colouring or check out the playhouse. Honestly, whether you go for the Kids Eat Free deal or just a normal night, everyone will leave happy.

Percy’s Playground
Percy’s Playground is the leafy new outdoor extension of the Stirling Arms Hotel, created with families firmly in mind. At its heart is a sprawling two-storey nature playground designed for hours of play, complete with shade sails and misters to keep things cool on warmer days. Little ones are well catered for too, with a sandpit, a toy-filled games corner and (depending on when you visit) pop-up entertainment like face painting fairies and other playful surprises.
When it’s time to eat, kids can tuck into dedicated meal packs that balance a little fruit and veg with fussy eater-approved classics like dino nuggets, spag bol and hot chips. Grown-ups aren’t left out, with good coffee, cold beers and reliable pub favourites on offer too. Set in Guildford on the edge of the Swan Valley, Percy’s Playground already feels like a local favourite—and it’s one that’s definitely worth planning a day trip around over the holidays. Book ahead or wander in.

Ripple Brewing
Ripple Brewing is the newest brewery to hit Perth, bringing cold beer, natural wines and a relaxed family-friendly atmosphere to Beaconsfield, mere minutes from the hustle and bustle of South Beach.

Expect fresh craft beer directly from the source, with an ever-changing tap line-up, including a new one-off beer each week. Plus, plenty of large group tables, a playground out back for the kids and elevated food truck-style eats from Wanda’s Roadhouse.

Despite extensive renovations restoring the grand Bassendean Hotel to its former glory, this pub remains as unpretentious as ever and true to its locals. The addition of a playground in the courtyard ensures the younger generations, and furry family members, are initiated into the local corner pub tradition. Relax on the beautiful wrap-around balcony and intimate lounges nestled into every nook and cranny, including Daphne’s Snug, named after the licensee’s daughters in the 1950s. Live music, sports matches, weekly specials, happy hours and Sunday roasts have revitalised Bassendean’s Old Perth Road, and the neighbourhood’s soul.
