25 of the World’s Best Bars Will Take Over Sydney
Sydney is set to become the centre of the cocktail world when the Maybe Cocktail Festival returns from April 14-19th. Now in its fourth year, the week-long program brings 25 of the globe’s most talked-about bars and and bartenders to venues across the city for guest shifts, collaborations and walk-in events — no flights required.
Highlights include Mexico City’s Handshake Speakeasy, crowned The World’s Best Bar in 2024, taking over Maybe Sammy, plus the Sunday brunch at El Primo Sanchez with Melbourne favourites Caretaker’s Cottage, Byrdi and Above Board and a four-course long lunch at Flaminia matched with Maybe Sammy cocktails. Sydney Harbour has a new star attraction. Ancient Feelings by British artist Thomas J Price is a towering, three metre high bronze sculpture of a woman’s head.
