Payday Picks: What the Sitchu Team Are Shopping this Month
A little luxury, a little practicality, a lot of savings. These are the EOFY buys making our payday wish list right now.

The EOFY sales bring a certain kind of frenzy: an endless cascade of sales emails, messages and ads testing every impulse, and the added pressure of deciding where to spend before the good deals end. But it also sharpens your focus and forces you to think a little more strategically. This month’s Sitchu team’s picks are littered with smart purchases, from savings on long-awaited tech upgrades and much-needed home buys to discounted wishlist pieces that prove good things really do come to those who wait. Scroll on for the EOFY picks we’ll be shopping this weekend.

I made a pact with myself this year to stop spending money on frivolous purchases, so this EOFY I’m being much more mindful about what I’m buying and taking advantage of some great deals.
I’ve been wanting to add a new trench coat to my wardrobe for months, and this one from Maison Essentiele feels like the perfect choice. It has all the hallmarks of a classic trench, but the slightly oversized silhouette gives it a modern edge. It feels current without being trend-driven, which means I’ll be reaching for it for years to come.
I’ve also had my eye on these rechargeable lamps from Soffle as an easy way to refresh my bedroom. I love the contrast of the burgundy marbling against the raffia shade — it balances the darker tones beautifully while still feeling warm and inviting.
The Tony Bianco Margot boots have been popping up in my feed and while I try not to buy into every trend, these feel timeless enough to justify. Plus, TikTok is unanimously convinced they’re incredibly comfortable, which only sweetens the deal.
Our coffee machine is officially on its last legs, so EOFY feels like the ideal time to upgrade. I’ve been making a conscious effort to brew my coffee at home rather than buying it every day, so when I think about the cost per cup, investing in this Breville coffee machine makes a lot of sense.
And if there’s ever a time to buy a new bag, it’s EOFY. While the sensible option would be a work bag I could potentially claim at tax time, but this little patent Toteme number is understated and timeless and about to become my plus-one for the foreseeable future.

A four-hour flight home from Bali with a grizzly child seated within earshot, and I’m finally ready to admit those “noise cancelling” headphones I bought off Amazon ten years ago have got to go. Instead, I’ve decided on these premium SONY headphones, because they actually fit my tiny noggin, sound amazing and block everything else out. Like all good thrifty gals, I’ve been waiting for them to go on sale. $169 off for EOFY, hallelujah. Never hearing the outside world again, hallelujah.
The other gripe I’m keen to resolve this EOFY? My winter wake-ups. The cold, dark starts have me pressing snooze an embarrassing amount at the moment. I’m hoping this sunrise alarm (20% off) gets me out of bed in time to actually make it to pilates.
As for the rest of my EOFY shopping list, it’s purely wardrobe-focused. Alpha 60’s lily knit cardigan in beige-mint feels like the cosy layer I’ve been missing. And at half price, she’s already en route. Shevoke’s Zulu sunnies in Olive (30% off) are also in my cart. I know the rest of the world is going big, but I am forever a slim sunnies gal, and I can see myself reaching for these a lot. A fun pointed toe moment is the final piece of my winter wardrobe puzzle: adding structure and interest to the baggy, wide-leg fits I seem to be drowning in these days. This pair from Alias Mae has been gathering dust on my wishlist for a while, and considering they’re currently under $150, I’d say now’s the time.

Winter is my happy place, and this EOFY cart is simply here to support the lifestyle: better food, better outfits, better corners of the house to dramatically rot in.
The RJ Living Toto Side Table in Ecru is first, because my bedroom is giving sad girl with nowhere to put a book or candle. Apparently one bedside table is bad feng shui and two is the goal, but personal growth can begin with a single chic surface. Right? Right.
The Our Place Titanium Pro Cookware Set in Chrome is the grown-up buy. Winter is for soups, pastas, eggs and making dinner feel like the best part of staying in, so naturally the cookware has to match the ambition.
Then the outside-world edit: the Blanca Rita Bomber Jacket, high-shine, leather-look and deliciously oversized, ready to make every basic outfit feel cooler on contact. Add the M.N.G Carnabyt Large Bag, roomy, expensive-looking and just boho enough to satisfy my ongoing Sienna Miller agenda, and suddenly office tailoring, knits and weekend plans all have a point.
The Tony Bianco Apache Boots are for the winter version of myself who leaves the house and looks excellent doing it: made for long coats, longer lunches and walking like the plan was always this chic. Alternatively, because balance is important, the UGG Australian Shepherd Hippie Platform Slippers. Suede, sheepskin, a little lift and best served with a grocery run, a coffee dash or a flight somewhere significantly warmer.

Winter and I have never really seen eye to eye, but this EOFY cart is doing a lot to change that. The Ozwear UGG Platform Microflex Mini Boots are first. Getting home and immediately changing into something cosy is a non-negotiable.
On the sneaker front, the New Balance 9060 is a serial wardrobe offender. Two pairs in and counting, they are endlessly comfortable, give a little lift, and Cortado/Dockside is the colour of the season.
The Ena Pelly Nova Longline Faux Fur Jacket in Chocolate proves the point. Brown is everywhere right now, and I’m a firm believer that a great coat can carry a winter outfit.
The Slip Pure Silk Pillowcase is the considered buy of the lot. I’m deep in my haircare era and increasingly convinced that what you sleep on matters as much as what you put in your hair.
And finally, years into owning the Dyson Airwrap and still curious about the rest of the range, the Dyson Airstrait on sale felt like the nudge needed to finally find out. The Airwrap is discounted, too, if you’ve been waiting for a reason.

I have been known to let things sit in my cart for months on end without purchasing, so I’m using these EOFY sales as an excuse to buy the things that have been on my wish list for far too long. I’m in desperate need of some new bath towels, and these burgundy striped Sheridan ones have my name written all over them.
On the wardrobe front, I’m always on the hunt for tops that can be worn into the office and easily transition into after-work drinks, so these shirts from Assembly Label and Deiji Studios (both Aussie labels) are both in my cart.
Another purchase I’ve put off for far too long, these classic black ballet flats from Alias Mae will get a serious workout once they arrive in my wardrobe. I can also never go past a Love Isabelle sale, and I’ve been eyeing off this beautiful initial necklace from them for a while now.
