Suede, leather, fringe and lace, this month has us chasing ways to elevate the everyday.
Winter’s cold embrace has us looking for comfort in all the right places. Suede and leather funnel neck jackets, plush bathrobes and whimsical knitwear pieces have all found a place on this month’s shopping list, as have a stack of dopamine-boosting styles, each elevating even the dreariest of days in their own special way. Think: fringe-trimmed midi skirts, pony hair handbags, silver sneakers and head-turning new scents. Read on for everything the Sitchu team are shopping this month.

This foundation has been living rent-free in my mind for months, and everyone raves about them so I’m finally taking the plunge.
I’m notoriously loyal when it comes to mascara, and this is the first one in almost a decade that’s made me sit up. It delivers fluttery, separated lashes without the clumps or smudging, and the tubing formula means it comes off effortlessly at the end of the day.
I’m on the hunt for a new everyday sneaker, and these strike the perfect balance between form and function. Practical enough for long walks and workouts, but cool enough to style with everything from activewear to relaxed tailoring.
I’m a minimalist at heart but occasionally like to dabble in colour and this one is cute as a button! A classic cardi with a playful twist, meaning I’ll get loads of wear out of it.
This emerging Northern Beaches label has well and truly caught my attention. The sleek, elevated silhouettes look far more expensive than they are, and this jacket feels like on trend but classic enough to make it last well beyond this season.
I’m firmly in my jeans and a nice top era, and this is exactly the kind of elevated basic I’m reaching for. The scoop neckline and neck tie feels effortlessly chic with a 90s nod, making it just as suited to weekday wear as dinner and drinks.

It’s my birthday, and I will be taking every excuse to treat myself.
These silver ballet flats (very similar to the Alohas style but half the price) and this pony hair handbag are first off the wishlist. Both are scratching a bit of an itch in the trend department, but I can see them working in my wardrobe long-term.
With Jean’s dainty high-neck pink knit and this fringe-trimmed midi skirt from Aussie label Neil Vernon have also slipped to the top of my lust list. The latter has just restocked (a birthday miracle!) and I’m already mentally planning my outfits: knee-high boots in winter, kitten heels in summer. The ballet pink knit vest, meanwhile, feels like the whimsical layering piece my wardrobe has been missing. I love the off-centre button-up detail and the fitted waist, which makes it easy to keep a white layer peeking out underneath.
My recent hunt for the perfect everyday lip combo ended at Merit. I’m already a huge fan of their Flush Balms and hear only great things about their lip liners, so the rosy pink lip trio was an easy add-to-cart. This silver boar bristle brush was another beauty win. I was well overdue, and it was ticking a lot of boxes: leaves my hair super shiny, fits in most of my handbags and just so happens to look super cute too. We love!
I’m always chasing more elevated basics, and right now I’m gravitating towards Maison Essentiele’s Lace Trimmed Tee and this cool new Warp Tee from Neuw. Both offer a little extra interest, which makes my go-to jeans and a white tee outfit foundation feel that little bit more intentional. Come summer, they’ll be perfect with silk slacks.
Oh and I’m desperate for a piece of the new Ganni and Melissa collab, in case anyone is wondering what to get me for my birthday…

I go through phases with shopping, and right now I’m firmly in a less but better one.
The Satin Wide Leg Track Pants by adidas Originals started it. Satin does all the work here, turning what could be a basic trackpant into something I’d actually wear out of the house, with a stripe down the leg keeping it from tipping into pyjama territory. Black and white or brown and white, both in high rotation, both my new errand pant of choice.
Suede felt non-negotiable for winter, so the Carter Skirt and Carter Bomber from Australian label One Of Others have been on high rotation too. Worn together it’s an outfit that looks far more thought out than it actually was. Split them up and you’ve quietly doubled your cost per wear.
My favourite Oroton bag has been discontinued, which is how I found myself deep in the brand’s outlet clearance hunting for a backup. The Harvey Baguette Crossbody switches between shoulder and crossbody thanks to the removable top handle, so it’s really two bags for the price of one, and now more than 60% off.
My hair has needed some extra TLC since going blonde, and the K18 Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask has earned its permanent spot in the routine. Built specifically for blonde and colour-treated hair, it works in minutes and doesn’t leave any greasy residue behind, which is exactly why it’s stuck. Start with the 15ml if you want to test the waters before committing to full size.
I’m also trying to get better at jewellery without making it complicated. I’m loyal to my everyday stack and rarely stray, but the Gold Live in Peace Hoops from By Charlotte snuck in anyway. Gold, dainty, low maintenance, with a pearl detail giving them just enough of a point of difference.

I am constantly on the hunt for those staple winter pieces that I can layer under everything and are going to actually keep me warm throughout the day, so I’ve had my eye on this Merino Wool Long Sleeve from Assembly Label. I’ve also had these silver Onitsuka Tigers in my cart for over a year now and I need a new pair to add to the rotation so I’m thinking this month is my time.
I’m off to Bali in a few weeks so I’m using that as an excuse to buy this summer dress from Little Yarn. It’s perfect for my trip and I know it’ll be on high rotation in the Australian summer.
I’m also on the hunt for a new scent, so I think I’m going to finally treat myself to Sages Rose from Tsu Lange Yor. I can’t go into a Mecca without trying it at this point.
Finally, it feels like a crime that I don’t own a bathrobe and this Hommey one is on sale at the moment so there’s truly no excuse!
