How One Playground is Redefining the Gym Experience
North Sydney’s wellness scene has seriously levelled up. One Playground, Sydney’s fast-growing boutique health and wellness collective, has opened the doors to its newest location: a four-storey, design-led sanctuary at Victoria Cross. More than just a gym, the space reimagines what movement and recovery can look like in the modern city.
Spanning 2,000 square metres across four architecturally curated levels, One Playground North Sydney blends high-performance training with sensory design. From grounded, mineral-rich interiors to light-filled, ethereal studios, every detail has been crafted to evoke both calm and energy. Even the scent has been considered with a custom fragrance developed exclusively for the space, alongside mood lighting, colour palettes and art by Anya Pesce which make the entire gym-going experience feel very luxe.
A range of classes are offered, including reformer Pilates, strength training and functional fitness. There are dedicated spaces for each of these, all equipped with high-performance machines and equipment to ensure guests are getting the most from their workouts. Staff and trainers can be found on almost any corner, so guests really aren’t left wanting for anything. Along with fitness, there are also a series of recovery zones and saunas which promote rest as much as movement; the result is a ‘super boutique’ concept where luxury, community and performance converge under one roof.

RESET: Sydney’s Boutique Wellness Escape
Opening softly on 7 October, RESET is a boutique wellness studio redefining Sydney’s wellness landscape with an intimate, slow, and elevated approach. Unlike the larger communal bathhouse experiences, RESET focuses on depth over scale, with its Circuit welcoming just five guests per session, (with an additional private option for up to three). Inside, guests step into a serene, minimalist environment where every detail has been carefully considered. The design details are exquisite, with checkerboard stone floors, Himalayan salt walls and recycled concrete sinks by artisan studio Natural Brick creating a space that’s as visually striking as it is restorative. It’s the perfect space for you to slow down, breathe and unwind from the daily chaos.
Highlights include a Halotherapy Cave lined with Himalayan salt blocks and red travertine for respiratory health and mindful stillness; Vitamin C–infused showers that eliminate chlorine while infusing antioxidants for brighter skin and spa-like aromas; and private contrast therapy rooms featuring Finnish-inspired cedar saunas and ice baths. Every element reflects RESET’s commitment to natural methods and thoughtful luxury, creating a restorative experience that feels sleek, chic and utterly unlike anything else in Sydney right now.

Combining the popular Japanese headspa method with a unique mediative experience, this holistic treatment will have you floating home. Kick off your appointment by selecting your beverage of choice on arrival alongside the music or show you’d like to enjoy throughout your treatment.
With a focus on prevention, Sage Space encourages their clients to begin with the essential ritual which involves a deep clean, check-up and stain removal. For follow-ups, the ritual selection ranges from specialist whitening to TMJ jaw massage.
Sage Space’s ritual offerings are designed to encourage prevention in a way that is most applicable to you. The soothe and protect ritual addresses the effects of grinding and clenching whilst the deep clean involves two appointments and is targeted to deliver a thorough TLC session on your gums. Need a quick little freshen-up before an event? There’s a ritual for that, too. Best of all, the space is a designer dream with gorgeous details abundant throughout.
