Everything You Need to Know About Sydney Night Noodle Markets

New location, same great food: the Sydney Night Noodle Markets are back!

Night Noodle Markets, Flying Noodles

*Just in: Sydney Night Noodle Markets has been postponed due to weather conditions. You can now check them out from Wednesday 12th October - Sunday 16th October. Scroll down for updated opening hours and get ready for a delicious (and hopefully dry) second take at Sydney's favourite foodie festival.*

The Sydney Night Noodle Markets are back after a two-year hiatus, with a new location, a brand new look and plenty of new dishes. Popping up from Wednesday 12th October - Sunday 16th October in their new home, Prince Alfred Park which is conveniently located near Central Station, you can expect live entertainment, dragon dancers, hawker-style stalls and of course oodles and oodles of noodles, dumplings and desserts.

Adding to the excitement of the new location, the markets, which were usually reserved for evening eating, will be open for lunch on Fridays, Saturday and Sunday. Plenty of our favourite street food servers will be back on the scene alongside the legends from ToastieSmith and Perth’s famous Bumplings from Brendan Pang who will both be making their Night Noodle Markets debut.

Night Noodle Markets

If the food itself isn’t a big enough lure, there are unique pop-ups including an outdoor cinema screening previews of Luxe Listings Sydney and pop-ups from Aperol, Gage Roads Brew Co, Rekorderlig Cider and even Zero% alcohol by Dan Murphy’s hosting tastings.

Scroll on and hear more about our guide to the best foodie treats and feasts you can pick up at this epic free event in Sydney.

ToastieSmith

Sydney Night Noodle Markets: ToastieSmith

There’s nothing better than a ooey, gooey toastie on a frostie day. Founded in 2020, ToastieSmith is home to some of Sydney’s best sandwiches. On the menu at the Sydney Night Noodle Markets, you can pick up four fully-loaded toasties including the ‘Chicken Barbie’ with spiced chicken, American cheese, sesame slaw, roast pineapple, smashed avo and yuzu mayo and the ‘Shrimp-in-the-Egg’ sando stuffed with fluffy scrambled egg, cheese, grilled garlic prawns, corn chips, sweet chilli sauce and more.

Flying Noodles

Sydney Night Noodle Markets: Dumplings & Noodles

Bumplings from celebrity chef and Perth native, Brendan Pang, have made their way to Sydney for their Night Noodle Markets’ debut. In collaboration with Mazda, the dumplings will be served with a bright red dipping sauce.

Joining Bumplings, you’ll find dishes from Night Noodle Market mainstays. Think Queensland’s Teppanyaki Noodles with yakisoba fried noodles and other treats with a modern Japanese twist. Raijin Noodles & Dumplings with a menu including crispy karaage topped noodles and steamed gyoza. Or with Instagram at the ready, pick up a gravity defying bowl from Flying Noodles.

Wonderbao

Sydney Night Noodle Markets: Street Food

The highlight of any noodle market has got to be the street food. The sort of dish you can accidentally demolish in a 30-second walk back to your table, wrapped in grease-proof paper or torn from a skewer.

Always a hit, Wonderbao will be back with six melt-in-your-mouth buns including pork belly, Korean fried chicken, classic barbecue and even a sweet custard dish. Head to Roll Up for Peking duck, satay and vegetable wrapped in crispy, flaky roti. Filipino faves, Hoy Pinoy are serving up pork belly skewers in a banana glaze, boneless pork roasted over charcoal, adobo rice topped with chicken soy pepper and garlic and other great bites that are guaranteed to transport your tastebuds to Manilla.

Sydney Night Noodle Markets: Sweet Treats

Back with their show-stopping Mie Goreng Donut, Donut Papi is giving other stallholders a run for their money with an inventive and beloved dessert. Also on deck will be bombos and creamos filled with flavours from Nutella, dulce de leche, ube, pandan and matcha. Our suggestion? Order one of every flavour and simply be surprised each mouthful.

Likewise, it’s not a Night Noodle Market without an epic Gelato Messina sweet treat! Serving three Asian Hawker inspired classics, you can pick up the mouth-wateringly more-ish HK French Toast with dulce de leche and peanut butter French toast with maple syrup gelato, the Milo Fry Club – a dish so patriotic that we should honestly consider putting it on the flag – involves a scoop of deep-fried Milo gelato, messinatella pudding and Oreo crumble or go for a more traditional mango pancake with smooth sorbet and vanilla Chantilly wrapped in a mango crepe.

Rekorderlig

Sydney Night Noodle Markets: Drinks

Not to be outdone, the delicious dishes at Sydney’s Night Noodle Markets will be served alongside such delectable drinks as Rekorderlig cider served in their delicious Rekorder-land dome and Gage Road Brew Co who will be pouring summer ales, coastal lagers and their famous All Day XPA in their beer garden. Aperol will also be there serving up spritzes and summer vibes.

If you’re having a sober October or  just trying to cut back, pick up a drink at the Zero% Bar by Dan Murphy’s who will be shaking non-alcoholic cocktails and Heaps Normal non-alcoholic beers.
