Things to do in Kiama: Explore
Kiama to Gerringong Coast Walk
This delightful coastal track is a solid day of walking that takes you past some of the most spectacular South Coast views. You’ll travel past rocky beaches and lush green farmland as well as taking in a number of local landmarks from the Kiama Blowhole to Cathedral Rocks. Be sure to pack swimmers and a picnic as there are plenty of spots to stop and soak up the scenery along the way.
If you’re not up for the full 20km, just head out from either end of the walk and return to your starting point once you’ve had enough.
Sitchu Tip: If the tides allow, make your way along the rocks from the Gerringong end of the walk to discover one of the region’s most gorgeous rockpools, Campbells Hole.
Kiama Blowhole
If you don’t have childhood memories of road trips down to see the blowhole, it’s time to create some. The blowhole is a natural phenomenon that occurs when water is compressed within a sea cave that results in water shooting out up to 30 meters in height. It’s best on really wavy days but always worth checking out.
