Perth’s dining scene is constantly evolving, and we’re here for every bite of it. In 2026, across the city, a wave of exciting new Perth restaurants and bars are already redefining what it means to dine out in the west — blending bold flavours with the kind of warm, confident service that makes you want to stay all night.

We’ve combed through the openings of 2026 to bring you our favourites so far, including a few late 2025 additions worth the extra recognition.

Molly’s

Highgate fave, Molly’s, has recently expanded, with a second Irish pub now pouring Guinness and good craic in East Victoria Park. Much like the Beaufort St original, the new pub pays homage to the Emerald Isle with its authentic (cheeky) Irish charm and much-loved eats and drinks. Yes, their iconic (and Perth’s first) spice bag is here in all its crispy, comforting, curry-sauced deliciousness, alongside beef and Guinness pies made with Butter Crumbs pastry, and a steak sandwich inspired by traditional Chip Shops.

To wash it down? The bar is pouring Irish brews like Guinness, Kilkenny and Magners Irish Cider alongside cocktails and Jameson and apple slushies. Throw on quiz nights, sports screenings, Mo Chara Mondays and Sunday roasts, and this local will be embedded into the local community in no time.

McNally’s

Guinness? Tick. Outrageously good spice bags? Tick. Live music and hearty Sunday roasts? Tick tick. Subiaco’s new Irish pub, McNally’s, has all the essentials. What you might not expect, though, is the elevated art-deco-inspired fitout (brand new, but with a lived-in feel) and expansive wine cellar dedicated to good reds. There’s also a lovely streetfront gazebo perfect for pints with a side of people watching, and open fireplaces that’ll make for cosy nights indoors come winter.

A selection of hot and cold meze plates at FARRA restaurant in Perth

Farra

Nestled inside the just-opened HYDE Hotel, FARRA shifts with the day across its restaurant, poolside bar and rooftop terrace. Lunch becomes poolside cocktails, sunset turns into dinner, and before you know it, you’re dancing under the stars upstairs. The menu meets you at each step, with a selection of hot and cold meze designed for sharing and building upon as your visit progresses.

Start with the essentials: warm house-baked bread with a trio of dips (tzatziki finished with pickled cucumber and mint, Santorini fava with sundried tomato, capers and bush tomato, and taramasalata enriched with fig leaf oil and smoked trout roe). Then make way for comfort plates like flame-kissed lamb tomahawk finished with tyrokafteri (a spicy feta and roast pepper dip), dumplings folded with mizithra (a Greek cheese similar to ricotta) zucchini blossom and nigella seed, and kalamaria yemista (stuffed squid) filled with sujuk and taro skordalia. A large slow-roasted lamb shoulder served on the bone is there for those keen to linger over something more substantial.

Nico Japanese

Nico Japanese

Nico means smile, and honestly that’s the only reasonable reaction after stepping into this quaint Japanese dining gem. Located on Royal St in East Perth, Nico Japanese serves home-style teishoku meal sets and meticulous plates of premium dry-aged sashimi in a cosy indoor-outdoor setting. Sit inside and you’ll have front row seats to the Japanese chefs working with precision and care in the tiny open kitchen. While outside offers a romantic streetside ambience perfect for date nights.

Once seated, start with something raw — the sashimi is up there with the best in Perth and uses only fresh, local seafood, dry aged in-house — then take your pick of dons or teishoku sets for mains. For an unforgettable melt-in-your mouth experience, we’d also highly recommend finding room for the Futari Wagyu Flank MB 8+ on your table. Lightly seared, the steak remains tender and pink with yuzu chilli paste, fresh wasabi and Smoked Maldon Flake Salt on the side, inviting you to build your own perfectly seasoned mouthful.

Nico Japanese is also BYO, so feel free to bring your own sake or sip along to enjoy or hop to the liquor store across the road.

Masa Mesa

You’ve heard of tacos. You’ve heard of empanadas. But have you tried a pupusa? If not, you’re about to… Nedlands has just got a serious Latin American flavour fix with the arrival of Masa Mesa. The new eatery is the long-time dream of Chef Erick Martinez (ex-Tiny’s, Duende, Andaluz Bar & Tapas and, most recently, private members’ club Lawson Flats) and his wife Lara, bringing together Erick’s El Salvadoran roots and Lara’s Argentinian heritage in a comforting menu and relaxed space both built for sharing.

Pupusas are the star of the show — golden griddled mesa (corn) tortillas stuffed with fillings like cheese and pork, or spinach and black beans, served with a tangy slaw and fresh salsa. You’ll also find empanadas, tacos, smoky asado-style meats cooked over a traditional Argentinian parrilla grill, plus churros and alfajores for dessert. Thirsty? Horchata, agua fresca and boozy Latin American-inspired cocktails are all here too.

Baillie Hill

Baillie Hill

Baillie Hill is the new heritage-led multi-venue hub built around the historic Elizabeth Baillie House, which has stood proudly since 1912. The sprawling dining and leisure precinct has been designed with community at its core, bringing together a charming bakery, a classic Aussie pub, and a sun-drenched garden bar, plus a woodfired pizza spot and gelato window to keep diners of all ages happy.

Beyond the food and drink offering, the leafy grounds also feature a produce garden, art studios, a timber playground, farm animals and generous alfresco spaces, all connected by terraced gardens and plant-lined walkways. Plus, keep your eyes out for community-focused events like yoga and makers markets. It’s only just opened and already shaping up to be a serious neighbourhood asset.

Scallops at Pearla & Co.

Pearla & Co.

Pearla & Co is the new coastal kitchen from Scott Bridger (ex-Bib & Tucker). Washing up on Leighton Beach late last year, its produce-driven and seafood-centric approach has already proven to be a winning recipe. The menu is a true celebration of Western Australian produce, featuring fish dry-aged in-house, sustainably sourced shellfish, and oysters shucked fresh to order. Each plate is equal parts art, story and taste — the kind of experience you’ll be thinking about long after your last mouthful. The menu is forever-evolving, depending on what’s fresh and seasonal, but trust us, with Head Chef Pablo Gosteli on the pass, it’s guaranteed to be exceptional.

Tigerfish

Tigerfish — the Cottesloe Beach Hotel’s new South East Asian-inspired bar and restaurant — has turned plenty of heads since opening last year. With vibrant beachfront ambience and bold interiors designed by the same crew who brought Chin Chin to life in Melbourne, it’s the kind of spot that instantly impresses. And thankfully, the food and drink actually lives up to the hype too.

Slide in post-swim for a Junmai Ginger Martini or a bottle of something crisp paired with bar bites like wonton bombs, prawn toast spring rolls and Albany rock oysters. For something more substantial, book a table in the main restaurant where pork belly, lamb ribs and premium wagyu sirloin arrive fresh from the robata grill, and delicate parcels of fish are served alongside bright herbs and heavenly curry sauce.
