A laid-back neighbourhood gem with serious style, St Brigid in neighbouring Doubleview is all about good vibes, great drinks, and top-tier bites. The exposed brick, timber floors, and high ceilings create a rustic-chic feel, flowing into a sun-drenched courtyard perfect for golden-hour hangs. Sip on craft beers, natural wines, and creative cocktails while snacking on charcoal-grilled cauliflower, steak tartare, and beef skewers with bush tomato relish.

Scarborough Beach Bar

Embrace the coastal cool at Scarborough Beach Bar, and relax into the laid back vibe and some of the most unbeatable views of the ocean you’ll find anywhere. Enjoy your sips on the expansive deck overlooking the beach, or head inside for a more intimate setting. With live music, craft beers, and a menu of simple yet delicious beachside fare (think burgers, ribs and tacos), this bar is a local favourite for good reason.

The Peach Pit

Located right on the beachfront, the Peach Pit is the perfect spot to pull up a seat after your swim. Home to an epic summery cocktail menu and must-try slushies, the Peach Pit also has a killer menu with some of the most delicious burgers in Scarborough. Cocktail wise, there are beachside classics, elevated favourites and a section of the menu devoted to slushies, which includes our favourite, the Coconut Margarita.

The Sandbar

The Sandbar is a fun local favourite that fully embraces the essence of Scarborough’s beach culture. This bar is all about that ultra-relaxed atmosphere, serving up refreshing cocktails and classic pub meals in a prime location for sunset views. With its relaxed beach shack vibe, The Sandbar is the perfect spot to unwind after a day on the beach.

El Grotto

This casual and stylish mexican spot moonlights as a discoteca, where beachside parties are fuelled by delicious tacos and outstanding cocktails. Known for its unique beachy ambiance and party vibe, El Grotto is a must-visit to keep the fun going after a sunset sip. From Sunday sessions to live DJs, there’s always something happening here.

Skol

It may not be beachfront, but Skol is still an absolute standout of Scarborough’s bar scene. This airy, light-filled space is serving up some incredible sips, alongside epic charcuterie boards and elevated share plates. Skol more than delivers on cocktails, and they all taste as incredible as they look (there’s even one served in a huge seashell). Throw in a lively courtyard, comfy spots to sit and top-notch playlists, and it’s no surprise this is one of our faves.

Bodega Wine Bistro

This Scarborough newbie has won our hearts, thanks to its winning trifecta of low-key vibes, tantalising Mediterranean menu and far too drinkable drinks. What better way to spend one of Perth’s balmy summer nights than grabbing a table at Bodega, ordering a bunch of cheese and charcuterie and a jug of Sangria, and soaking up that magical golden hour?

Jalisco 

This intimate tequila bar and taqueria may be small, but it packs a punch with its authentic Mexican food and margaritas. The tacos at Jalisco are a standout, with options ranging from succulent carnitas to the cheesy birria (the dipping sauce is everything), all served on the freshest tortillas. Jalisco has a cracking margarita menu too, expertly mixed and beautifully presented; they’re the perfect complement to the rich flavours of the menu. Whether you’re a classic margarita girlie or prefer something more adventurous, they’ve got you covered.

The Corner Dairy 

This light and airy neighbourhood bar is all about relaxed, casual vibes, seriously good bar bites and an amazing selection of sips. It’s elevated without being pretentious, making it the perfect spot to drop in for a casual drink or linger over lunch with friends. You can also grab your morning coffee from the coffee window, aka ‘the dairy window’.
