Want to Dine Like a Celeb? These Are the A-List Approved Melbourne Restaurants Stars Love
From Drake to Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift to Jacob Elordi, celebs can't get enough of these Melbourne restaurants.
Melbourne’s dining scene isn’t just about great food; it’s where the city’s most glamorous come to unwind, celebrate, and indulge. From A-list sightings to culinary masterpieces, these hotspots are the places to rub shoulders with stars.
So, whether you’re after fine dining or just want to eat where the rich and famous go, these are the spots to keep on your radar.
Drake
It should come as no surprise that Drake’s culinary tour de force in Melbourne has been nothing short of spectacular since his arrival on the 29th January, 2025. After indulging in a lavish feast at Nobu—a bonafide, worldwide celebrity hotspot where the sushi alone could bring you to your knees—he upped the ante, retreating to Chris Lucas' new shiny mecca for French indulgence, Maison Bâtard.
There, he savoured a sophisticated lunch of perfectly cooked steak and the signature Poulet Rôti aux Olives—succulent roasted chicken with green olives, fresh herbs, and a rich sauce, all paired with pommes purée. The man’s treating his entourage to Melbourne’s finest, but then again, he’s known to name-drop his favourite spots from Toronto to NYC. Drake = ultimate foodie.

Dua Lipa
When Dua Lipa waltzes into Melbourne, she doesn’t settle for second-rate nosh. The pop queen has previously been spotted at Hope Street Radio, alongside Aussie sensation Troye Sivan, where the wine flows as freely as the indie tunes. She also dined out at Gimlet at Cavendish House, which is all about old-world glamour, sipping cocktails that could make Gatsby weep. Over at Carlton Wine Room, it’s all about long lunches and even longer pours of vino. Then there’s NOMAD, where smoky, Middle Eastern flavours reign supreme—because a star needs a feast, not a snack. And, of course, a night out isn’t complete without hitting Electric Bar in Prahran, where she let loose with friends on the dancefloor.

Jacob Elordi
Jacob Elordi, Brisbane-born but Melbourne-educated, knows his way around the city's food scene. The Euphoria, Saltburn, and Priscilla star, who studied at St Kevin’s College, was once spotted keeping it effortlessly cool at Florian in Carlton North—sipping coffee, tucking into soft-boiled eggs, and proving that simple pleasures reign supreme. Around the same time, he somehow managed to blend in with locals over pints at Richmond’s beloved Spread Eagle Hotel.

Jamie Oliver
Jamie Oliver’s last Melbourne journey was a true culinary exploration. He dove into the vibrant flavours at Serai, where Filipino and Asian fusion take centre stage. For a slice of pizza perfection, Leonardo’s Pizza Palace was his go-to, offering the kind of comfort food that hits all the right notes. He indulged in refined dining at Gimlet, savoured the modern Australian menu at Lagoon Dining, and enjoyed the ever-changing seasonal offerings at Cumulus Inc.. Of course, Supernormal had him hooked with its Asian-inspired dishes that keep you coming back for more. Jamie knows where the action is.

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker
We're convinced that Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker rolled into Melbourne, not for the glitz, but for the grub. They tucked into no-frills vegan sandwiches at Smith & Deli, where plant-based eats punch well above their weight. Later, they hit Lona Misa in South Yarra for bold Latin flavours with a twist. Forget the red carpet; Melbourne’s food scene is where the real stars shine.
