Meghan’s Back, And So Is Her Love of Aussie Labels

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has touched down in Australia, and her wardrobe is already turning heads. From Karen Gee to St. Agni and P. Johnson, she’s been championing a lineup of homegrown labels across her first outings.

Meghan Markle has been back in Australia for five minutes and she’s already making the local fashion industry very happy.

She just touched down in Australia for the first time since her royal tour days back in 2018, and within about five minutes of landing she was already reaching for Karen Gee; a Sydney label she also wore the last time she was here. The brand has long been a go-to for polished, event-ready tailoring, and Meghan is clearly loyal to its looks.

She paired the look with jewellery from Real Fine Studio, founded by Australian-born designer Eliza O’Connor. The picks were the Puffy Heart Earrings and Signature Studs in 14k gold which are both minimalist and slightly sculptural. We’re in love.

Later in the trip, she shifted gears and showed up in a suede set from St. Agni layered with a knit from P. Johnson. This look landed somewhere between relaxed and considered, seamlessly combining two labels that approach Australian dressing from different angles but share the same commitment to quality. St. Agni has built its reputation on understated coastal ease while P. Johnson is fairly synonymous with refined, modern tailoring. Together, they really work!

While it’s still early days in the trip, it’s incredible to see Meghan championing local designers and pull from completely different corners of the Australian fashion scene. It kind of feels less like a curated PR strategy and more like she just found labels she actually likes and got dressed.

Australian designers don’t always get their flowers on the global stage, so we’re quietly thrilled someone with Meghan’s reach is making these choices. Bring on the next appearance!
