Brisbane Gin Festival 

Here’s one for the gin lovers! Returning for its fourth year, the Brisbane Gin Festival is coming to the Exhibition Building at the Brisbane Showgrounds. 

Throughout the day, you can enjoy tasting sessions from some of their favourite distillers, as well as newcomers who you hae yet to discover. Your ticket includes a complimentary tote bag, tasting glass, and Long Rays soda and tonic to complement your tasting sessions.

Want to get your hands in the mix? Join the Kendor Distillery Masterclass and craft your very own signature blend to take home.

Feel Good Program

Get fit for free this season, with an outdoor exercise program that will get your blood pumping! South Bank is continuing its partnership with Goodlife Health Clubs to bring 13 classes per week that suit a range of abilities.

Each class is led by an experienced Goodlife trainer and ranges from mat pilates, Zumba, Body Balance, Abs Butts & Thighs and more.

Plus, Saturday morning participants can enjoy a free coffee to get their energy fix before (or after!) their workout.

Kalbar Sunflower Farm Festival

Sunflower fields, forever. Take a scenic trip to the Scenic Rim this month by heading out to the Kalbar Flower Farm to see the sunflower fields in full bloom! With ample photo ops, food trucks with local produce and your very own fresh sunflowers to pick and take home, this is the perfect chance to get out of the city, breathe in some fresh air and enjoy. 

Wander through the rows of sunflowers that tower over you and count the happy bees and lady beetles as you go. 

Pooches are welcome, so you can also snap plenty of content for their pupstagram. 

Sitchu Tip: Take gloves, secateurs and a bucket to carry your sunflowers… they’re a little stickier than you might think!

Brisbane Comedy Festival at the Powerhouse

After a tour around the nation and back-to-back seasons at The Grand Electric in Surry Hills, Blanc de Blanc is set to dazzle audiences this month in Brisbane at the West End Electric!

You’ll feel as if you’ve arrived at one of Gatsby’s famous parties when you step through the doors, with the show bringing its signature hedonistic and glamorous energy to the stage. Expect astonishing aerial work, risque humour, vintage French flair and iconic dance numbers – like all Strut n Fret productions, this show is not to be missed!

Big Gay Day

Big Gay Day 2025

Dig out your jorts and inflatable purses, because Big Gay Day is back and ready to take you over the rainbow this year with a cute Y2K theme! 

This year, the festival is headlined by none other than Peach PRC and The Presets supported by acts like Jimi the Kween, Lazy Susan, Freya Armani and so many more. As always, proceeds from the festival will be donated to charity, to support organisations that service the LGBTIQA+ communities. This year’s recipients are the Open Doors Youth Service.
