LIV Golf Announces Major Change to 2026 Tournament + Drops First Music Lineup

The world’s best golf event is returning to Adelaide — bigger, bolder, and with four days of festival energy. From February 12th to 15th, LIV Golf Adelaide will roll out its new 72-hole, four-day format at The Grange Golf Club, upping the drama, the energy, and the entertainment for fans. More action on the course means more time to soak up the signature LIV atmosphere, plus even bigger moments at Adelaide’s fan-favourite Party Hole.

And the vibes extend off the greens, too. LIV Golf has unveiled the first two of four music acts set to ignite the stage next February. Rolling into Friday, indie-pop sensations Royel Otis bring their ARIA-winning cool and crowd-favourite melodies, while on Sunday the one and only FISHER storms the stage, delivering explosive, party-all-afternoon energy to close out the tournament in true LIV Golf style.

With two more big-name artists still to be revealed — including a new Thursday opener and a major Saturday headliner — the 2026 edition is shaping up to be the most entertainment-packed yet.

Hahndorf’s New Christmas Village Brings European Festive Magic to the Hills

Hahndorf is dialling up the festive charm this December with the launch of its new Christmas Village — an immersive, European-inspired celebration set to transform the iconic main street across three magical nights. Expect twinkling lights draped overhead, boutique windows dressed for the season, and more than 150 stores opening late with special offers and plenty of Christmas spirit.

Gluhwein (traditional mulled wine) in hand, wander past bratwurst grills, pretzel stands, and festive sweets from Bracegirdle’s, or make your way to Santa’s Hub at Comida for crafts and photos with the big man himself. The Gathered Christmas Design Market brings 100+ local makers to Alec Johnston Park, while creative workshops, live music, and roaming performers keep the whole village buzzing. FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships

From November 14th to 23rd, Adelaide turns up the heat as The Drive and Pinky Flat/Tarntanya Wama transform into a beachside arena for the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships. Watch the world’s best players go head-to-head by day, then stay for the afterglow — with Baker Boy, Keli Holiday, and Mitch Tambo with Voice of Lele lighting up Centre Court by night. High-energy rallies, live beats, local bites, and an atmosphere that’s pure Adelaide magic. This really is one for the calendar!

Lucky’s Beach Club

Lucky’s Beach Club returns November 14th, celebrating 10 sun-soaked years of turning the suburbs into a coastal escape! For the first time ever, enjoy open-air pizzas on the sand, sip house cocktails, and move to beats from local, national, and international DJs. Launch night headliner Richy Penny kicks things off, while booth packages, ticketed events, and sports on the screens keep the good times rolling all summer long.

Civic Park to Host Its First Major Music Festival

Australia’s live music scene is heading north this summer, with A Day in the Gully set to turn Civic Park into a one-day celebration of big sounds, good vibes, and local flavour. From chart-topping Aussie touring artists to emerging indie bands, expect Chet Faker, Ball Park Music, The Living End, Pete Murray, Mallrat, Teenage Joans, and The Tullamarines, plus local food, wine, and that easy-going Adelaide energy.

Delivered by SRO Events with the City of Tea Tree Gully, this all-ages festival is the first major national music event to hit Civic Park — and locals are getting the VIP treatment. Tea Tree Gully residents can jump on presale tickets now at a special discounted rate before general release on November 17th.

Big news for Adelaide’s luxury scene: the beloved Mayfair Hotel is getting a glamorous new chapter. IHG Hotels & Resorts has partnered with Ark Capital to reimagine the heritage-listed 1930s landmark as Kimpton Mayfair Adelaide, marking the brand’s second Australian hotel. Known globally for thoughtful design, soulful hospitality and locally loved restaurants and bars, Kimpton will bring a boutique-meets-playful edge to the CBD icon. The hotel will continue operating under the Mayfair name, before a full refurbishment, with its grand relaunch slated for late 2026. A new era of luxury living (and rooftop sipping) is on the horizon.

Your First Look at the WOMADelaide 2026 Lineup

The first 49 artists for WOMADelaide 2026 are here, and it’s a lineup that spans music from over 30 countries! From Yothu Yindi celebrating 35 years of Tribal Voice, Afro-funk innovator Obongjayar, Grammy-nominee Roberto Fonseca, to Marlon Williams with Kapa Haka group Ngā Mātai Pūrua, this edition promises a world of music, arts, and dance at Botanic Park/Tainmuntilla.

They join recently announced American singer-songwriter Iron & Wine, Irish folk band Beoga, ABC’s Pacific Break winner Mantis from Vanuatu and headliner Baker Boy — the proud Yolŋu man and hip-hop legend who is performing the only Adelaide show of his newly announced tour including tracks from his latest album DJANDJAY. The Matildas Announce Return to Adelaide

The CommBank Matildas are coming back to Adelaide, this time heading to Coopers Stadium on December 2nd, 2025 to take on New Zealand in the second match of their international series. It’s the final chance this year to see the team live as they gear up for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026.

Sounds in the Quarry 

Ditch the city and head down to the river — Sounds in the Quarry hits Overland Corner on  November 8th, and it’s bigger, louder and wilder than ever. Now in its third year, this festival takes over a stunning 160‑year‑old stone quarry, with 24 artists across two killer stages. The Quarry Main Stage brings DIMATIK, YROR?, Luke Noize, Tazi, Seek N Destroy, Juchs and local legends Chris Low, Jazzy‑K, Jazza and more. National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant

Adelaide, it’s that time — the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant is back and the city is about to get seriously festive. Glittering floats, live bands, clowns, cheeky elves, dancers and, of course, Father Christmas himself are taking over the streets, wrapping up with his big festive message at Beehive Corner in Rundle Mall.

Want the best view? Top spots to watch are Beehive Corner (fo the Santa magic), North Terrace (front-row without the sunrise wake-up), South Terrace/King William Street (where the action kicks off) and Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga (all the floats in one go).
