WOMADelaide Drops Full 2026 Lineup — and It’s Stacked
600+ artists are taking over Botanic Park for four days of music, dance, and festival magic.
WOMADelaide has dropped its full 2026 lineup — and with Grace Jones now confirmed as the Saturday night headliner, next year’s festival is officially in unmissable territory. Across four magical days in Botanic Park/Tainmuntilla, more than 600 artists from 38 countries will turn the city into a global playground of music, dance and culture.
Stepping straight out of the legend books, Grace Jones will make her WOMADelaide debut. The Studio 54 alum, fashion renegade, art-rock icon and all-round cultural powerhouse brings hits like Pull Up to the Bumper and Slave to the Rhythm — and at 77, her stage presence is still unmatched. Expect theatrics, attitude and a performance people will talk about for years.
She joins a lineup already stacked with heavy-hitters. Arrested Development bring their Grammy-winning, socially charged hip-hop; Oumou Sangaré — one of Africa’s most powerful and important voices — promises soul-stirring sets; and beloved Italian pop icon Jovanotti will ignite opening night with his signature high-energy chaos (the good kind).
True to WOMADelaide spirit, the discovery factor is huge. Look out for Canadian jazz-fusion heroes BADBADNOTGOOD, psychedelic Dutch-Indonesian collective Nusantara Beat, blues-funk trio MY BABY, American gospel family band Annie & The Caldwells, festival favourites KAIIT and Mama Kin Spender, and rising Brazilian-Australian talent Alcides Neto.
They land alongside an already starry cast: Yothu Yindi, Baker Boy, Obongjayar, Åkervinda, Marlon Williams with Kapa Haka group Ngā Mātai Pūrua, Kankawa Nagarra, Jyoty, Asmâa Hamzaoui & Bnat Timbouktou, plus a major dance moment with Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker’s iconic Rosas danst Rosas.
Minister for Tourism Zoe Bettison calls it “hugely exciting,” while festival director Ian Scobie promises Grace Jones will bring “thrilling and memorable energy” — and honestly, we believe him.
With the full A–Z lineup live and the countdown officially underway, WOMADelaide 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting weekends on the national calendar. Mark it.
