A winter festival that's bringing Hawaiian vibes to the North Shore? Yes, please! Aloha Freshie is a celebration of the birthplace of Australian surfing, Freshwater, and its sister city Waikiki. The three-day festival will see a celebration of all things Hawaiian from food and drinks to music and entertainment. More specifically, hula dancers, pork rolls and Hawaiian and Portuguese donuts. Other local specials will run all month with bouquets, Hawaiian massages and limited-edition cocktails just a few of the treats to look forward to.

Morena x Diplomático

Dine on Morena and Diplomático's Limited-Time 'Taste of Venezuela' Menu 

Calling all Sydney foodies. In celebration of World Rum Day, Latin American favourite Morena is teaming up with the good people of Diplomático to provide Sydney connoisseurs with a unique look into Venezuelan flavours. The four-course menu features nine dishes ranging from an MBS 5+ Black Opal wagyu girello drizzled with a jus enhanced with the sweet, fruity vanilla notes of Diplomático rum’s signature Reserva Exclusiva blend, to a classic Latin American flan with coconut and a rum-infused burnt caramel sauce. Naturally, a range of delish rum cocktails are ready and waiting to be paired with the meal. The Diplomático Planas white rum, fermented pineapple tepache, cumin-spiced demerara sugar and sherry has our name on it. Don't miss it!

Sending out a big hello to our River Cottage fans! River Cottage London's fermentation expect Rachel de Thample is treating us Aussies to a visit. She's going to be hosting a fermentation workshop at Three Blue Ducks at The Farm in Byron and we urge you to make a weekend of it! You'll learn all about making sauerkraut, kimchi, vinegar, kombucha, kefir and more and then you'll indulge in a yummy long lunch. That's a perfect weekend plan if you ask us.
