What’s On in Adelaide This Month: Festivals, Entertainment & Culture

Adelaide Fringe Festival 2025
It’s the most wonderful time of year! The Adelaide Fringe Festival touched down on Feb 21st, and has already drawn visitors from all corners of Australia to revel in its eclectic and diverse offerings. From jaw-dropping acrobatic shows and family-friendly circus acts to shows that invite audiences to explore taboo topics – there’s no shying away from the creativity and innovation on display.
Beyond the stages and performances, the city transforms every weekend into a bustling hub of energy, excitement and outstanding food offerings. Adelaide’s CBD becomes a hive of activity with popular venues filled to the brim, main streets around the festival are shut down to allow restaurants in the area to offer alfresco dining, and Gluttony and The Garden of Unearthly Delights delight festivalgoers with pop-up bars, dining experiences and food trucks. This is Adelaide at it’s best.
Check out our guide to the food and drink offerings and best shows to see at the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

Adelaide Festival
Not one, not two, but three festivals are hitting the city this month – proving we don’t call it Mad March for nothing! The Adelaide Festival is now in its 40th year, recognised as an event bringing intellectual and cultural nourishment to town, with a strong focus on community, sustainability and inclusivity. Coinciding with Writer’s Week and covering musical theatre, dance, visual arts, talks, opera and family events, consider your creative cup filled.
Our pick of the fest? Tony Award-winning Hedwig & The Angry Inch, a raw and explosive musical theatre production making its debut in Australia at the newly revamped Queens Theatre. Blazing into Adelaide with the show gaining rave reviews from the likes of Rolling Stone, expect danger, sass, grit and sardonic humour as Hedwig (Seann Miley Moore) explores the worlds of lost love and self-discovery in this genre-defying, wickedly humorous and thought-provoking musical.
