Fremantle Arts Centre’s Bazaar Makers Market

Featuring a curated line-up of local artists and makers, Freo Arts Centre’s annual bazaar is an absolute gifting goldmine. Each year, you’ll find a gorgeous array of handmade presents waiting to be discovered, including ceramics, prints, stationery, toys, jewellery and clothing, all set within the shady courtyard gardens of Freo Arts Centre. A day of shopping doesn’t get much better than this.

The Boutique Christmas Market

This two-day market feels more like a festival. Held at the Claremont Showgrounds, you’ll be able to shop ’til you drop at this Christmas market in Perth. You’ll be welcomed with free gin and wine tastings from local distilleries and vineyards at this free event and have the opportunity to shop a gift emporium of thoughtful gifts from small businesses.

Made on the Left has been showcasing local makers for sixteen years with its solid line-up of handmade jewellery, fashion, art and more — making it WA’s longest running handmade market. Set on the grass of Esplanade Park in Fremantle, this year’s Christmas markets will feature over 100 local stallholders, plus a solid food truck line-up too. Skip the big shopping centres, this is the spot to shop handcrafted gifts you won’t find anywhere else.

The Perth Hills Artisan Market is hosting a very special Christmas edition market mid December. Held indoors, this is the Hills’ biggest Artisan market, with over 100 exhibitors selling handmade, locally produced goods. With two good coffee vendors on site, be sure to pause on one of the lovely stretches of lawn, to caffeinate and admire the surrounding architecture.

Kalamunda Markets

Combine a day trip to Perth Hills and your weekly grocery shop at this popular farmer’s market in Kalamunda. Located in the Central Mall, it’s a chance to meet local growers, farmers and producers direct to discover the journey from paddock to your plate. They’ll also throw in some of their favourite suggestions and recipes if you ask them! As well as your organic fruit and veggies, expect old-school favourites like homemade cakes, biscuits, pies and jams, in addition to more modern offerings like gluten-free slice, raw juice and fermented sourdough.
