Cocktails and Cherry Blossoms: Check Out King’s Beach Tavern Taste of Tokyo
Tokyo has come to Brisbane! Get ready for King’s Beach Tavern’s exciting winter pop-up.
Tokyo’s calling! While we might be personally hankering for an overseas trip to the land of sushi, ramen, karoke and our new favourite reality show Old Enough, we’ll settle for a gastronomic getaway. So, in that light, join us is offering a hearty moshi moshi to one of the Sunshine Coasts’s most epic takeovers, King’s Beach Tavern Taste of Tokyo.
This locally-loved beachside spot has an epic winter installation which aims to transport you and your tastebuds to Tokyo. Decked out in pastel pink with cherry blossoms, lush florals, lanterns and all things kawaii, the King’s Beach Tavern pop-up is one of our favourite winter activities in Queensland.
Perfect for a girls’ night out, the perfectly Instagrammable backdrop will be complimented by Japanese-inspired bites and seven Roku Craft gin cocktails. Order a hearty beef katsu sandos with a milk bun and shoestring fries, or a Japanese-style bao with crisp pork belly and pickled cucumber, sriracha and Japanese mayo and, of course, no Japanese meal is complete without a serve of karaage chicken with kewpie!
Wash it all down with one of King’s Beach Tavern’s custom cocktails, Sakura Lychee, Geisha Gimlet with yuzu purée and the Harajuku Doll Sour topped with egg white foam, lemon and fairy floss.
Don’t miss the chance to check out this once-off pop-up this winter.
