Enchanted Garden
The sell-out experience is back in 2023 for another round of pure magic! The Enchanted Garden once again descends on Roma Street Parklands to bring that magical feeling to Christmas lovers of all ages. Wander through the gardens at your own pace and immerse yourself in installations, light projections and magical scenes. Bookings are essential after so many years of popularity, so be sure to book in with your friends and family for a stroll through Brisbane’s prettiest city garden and explore it in a brand new light.

The Lighting of The Christmas Tree
The Lord Mayor’s lighting of the Christmas Tree is something that must be experienced at least once in a lifetime by any and all Brisbane locals or visitors. On the first day of December, head down to King George Square to watch live musical performances before Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner illuminates the 22-metre Christmas Tree that will sparkle in the heart of the city for the entirety of December. This annual event marks the beginning of Christmas events across the city, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome in the festive feels!

City Hall Lights
Always one for an opulent display, this year is no different when it comes to the Brisbane City Hall Christmas light show. Festive Christmas scenes are projected onto the Hall with accompanying music to make for an enthralling event for littlies and adults alike! The show runs every fifteen minutes from 7.30pm to midnight until Christmas Eve and is a magical way to immerse yourself in a Christmas story and light show.

Christmas Lights in North Brisbane
The competition for Christmas lights in North Brisbane is getting steep, and nothing has changed this year! Not to be missed, some of these Christmas displays have a little extra interaction with synchronised music you can tune your radio to in your car. Grab some candy canes, pull on your Santa hat and hop in the car to check out some of the best displays in North Brisbane.
12 Bedarra Crescent, Burpengary East
Likely to be able to be seen from space, this Christmas light display covers almost the entirety of this home North of Brisbane. Featuring music, moving features, interactive displays, a nativity scene, inflatables, projections and so much more, there’s plenty to see at this massive display of Christmas cheer.

36 Sugarloaf Street, Wavell Heights
Here on Sugarloaf Street in Wavell Heights, you’ll find not one, not two, but three houses synchronised to Christmas music. It’s enough to make even the scroogiest duck’s heart warm when visiting these Christmas lights in Brisbane. There’s plenty to look at in this enormous display, so take your time poring over the lights that have been painstakingly installed to bring the festive feels to an all time high.

27 Minimine Street, Stafford
Minimine Street is a popular destination for those seeking the most impressive Christmas Lights in Brisbane, as the enormous displays can be seen from a mile away. With inflatables, light displays, photo opportunities and a charity donation for the Guide Dogs, there’s so much to take in on Minimine Street. 27 isn’t the only number on the street that lights up, so be sure to take a cruise around in search of more Christmas cheer.
Sitchu Tip: On your way to Minimine Street, drive along Daisy Street and Howard Street in Grange for more amazing Christmas light displays, as these streets always turn it on!

Christmas Lights in South Brisbane
No need to travel anywhere near the busy city with so many options close to home in South Brisbane. We recommend checking out these addresses for some of the most exciting displays.
10 Keeling Street, Coopers Plains
Keeling Street is at the top of our list to explore this year on our mission to visit the best Christmas lights in Brisbane. This massive display covers music, moving features, a bubble machine, statues, licenced characters and there’s even a walk-in display to literally surround yourself with Christmas cheer. Our jaws actually dropped when we saw the photos of this display in South Brisbane, so make sure you note down this address for your next night out exploring the lights!

69 Rholanda Crescent, Springwood
Even the palm trees are feeling festive at this Christmas light display in South Brisbane! The family behind this seasonal setup are total pros… and it shows. With an enormous array of lights and projectors, there’s also a giant Santa on duty to watch out for anyone he needs to add to his Nice List. With a festive archway and an illuminated Christmas tree at the front, we’re definitely rating this display as one to brighten your day.
Lights on 1st December to 31 December, from 6.30pm to 10:00pm.
Christmas Lights in East Brisbane
Not to be outdone by the other suburbs, East Brisbane offers a wide scattering of enormous and elaborate displays!
6 Bainbridge Street East
When you’re heading to these Christmas lights in East Brisbane, don’t get lost in Bainbridge Street West, as this house is in the East part, totally separated by the railway line. Ormiston Teddy Town Hunt offers a hunting activity where kids can search for a list of movie character toys in the display! There are hundreds of toys on show. There is a charity tin for CWA Rural Crisis Fund.
Lights are on until 10:00pm nightly until the 24th of December.
Woodcrest Close, Redland Bay: A well-known Christmas attraction in the Redlands with lights and inflatables from 7pm nightly. December 1 – December 25 2020.
19 Nemarra Street, Wynnum West
Nemarra Street is a popular Christmas light-viewing destination in Brisbane year after year due to their display of hundreds of thousands of lights adorning the face of their home. There are also lasers, a nine-metre tree and a snow machine, but all of these things combined are not as impressive as the piece de resistance. This address features possibly the largest inflatable Santa we have ever seen, and he’s even been upgraded since years past. Will he be even bigger this year? You’ll have to visit and see…
Lights are on December 1st to December 26th, from 6:00pm to 10.30pm
81 Hutton Avenue, Wynnum
The Christmas lights on display at this Brisbane home spill out over onto the street, welcoming you in to gaze over the family-friendly display. There’s a snow machine at work as well as Santa’s mailbox. We hear that if you leave a reply address on your letter to Santa, you might even get a reply! There are often candy canes available for the kids at this Wynnum address, so we think the award for Christmas Spirit should well and truly land here.
Lights are on November 26th to December 25th, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
