Sometimes Mondays roll around a little too soon, and the only solution is to treat yourself to a night out. But this can prove difficult, with the first day (or two!) of the week acting as the unofficial hospo weekend.

But don’t fret, dear reader. We’ve done the research (aka scoured the trading hours) of some of the city’s best spots to find the restaurants open on a Monday in Brisbane. Choose from Thai, wine bars, Mexican fare or a hearty pizza – because this city has plenty to offer, any day of the week.

Cru

The perfect after-work pit stop, Cru Bar is always bursting at the seams with locals who love sampling their extensive wine list and dining on delicious modern meals.

Located on bustling James Street, Cru Bar is excellently situated for the beginning of your evening adventures or as your dining destination.

With a fully stocked cellar next door, if you fall in love with something on the wine list, you can be certain to find plenty more options in the store to take home and add to your collection.

1/22 James Street, Fortitude Valley

Ping Pong

Step straight into an Instagrammable wonderland tucked away in the Newstead Gasworks precinct at Ping Pong. With a strong pink aesthetic on their main dining floor, the floating bubble lights also change colour to add to the experience.

Once you’ve finished taking in the visual feast of this restaurant’s decor, explore their vibrant menu, packed full of plates that will tantalise your taste buds. The drinks list here is just as incredible–we’re partial to the cocktail slushies.

Thankfully, Ping Pong is open on Monday nights, so book in with your besties and enjoy a delicious night out of modern, tasty Thai eats!

Gasworks, 76 Skyring Terrace, Newstead

Comuna Cantina

This chic little pink and white Mexican restaurant in Brisbane dishes up a delightful mix of salad bowls, tasty starters (think grilled corn, chicken bites, cauliflower bites, wings and more) and a long list of tacos, nachos, quesadillas, burritos and fajitas with options for vegans and gluten-free folk.

Comuna Cantina is the perfect place to wrap up a long day in the office, over a cocktail bag or two shared with your best pals. Don’t know what we mean by cocktail bag? Head to their menu and check it out – this pink drink has to be seen to be believed!
