The first of two new venues to be announced for the new Queens Wharf dining precinct from the Tassis Group is Pompette.

Positioned at the end of the Neville Bonner pedestrian bridge, this Parisian-inspired venue boasts spectacular views of the Brisbane River from its vantage point overlooking the South Bank Parklands.

With interiors by Clui Design, Pompette features a champagne and oyster bar, leafy alfresco area and three private dining rooms. Set to offer all-day dining, this new restaurant will serve modern interpretations of traditional French dishes, including escargot, steak au poivre and more.

The Tassis Group have announced a second venue within the Queens Wharf Brisbane precinct called Dark Shepherd. Unlike its French counterpart Pompette, Dark Shepherd will bring a lamb-focused, Mediterranean menu to this inner-city dining precinct.

The third Greek venue in his portfolio, Michael Tassis plans to delight Brisbane’s taste buds with punchy wood-fired grill flavours, clever cooking techniques and exceptional produce, housed within a highly-cultured dining experience.

Brisbane’s culinary scene is soaring to new heights this year, with an exciting announcement from the new Star Brisbane precinct in the CBD. One of Australia’s most iconic Japanese restaurants has opened its doors to serve locals and visitors with sumptuous sashimi bouquets and ornate dishes.

Chef Alex Yu leads the kitchen, after beginning his career at Sokyo Sydney, before then assuming the role of Head Chef at Yugen Melbourne and earning two hats within one month of opening.

Often referred to as the ‘sashimi florist’ thanks to his ornate and inspiring arrangements of top-grade sashimi, you’ll be champing at the bit to get a reservation to try Yu’s creations at this stunning new restaurant in Brisbane.

With indoor and outdoor seating for up to 240 diners, this new steakhouse is one of the biggest restaurants on The Terrace, with views across the Brisbane River.

Gambaro Group Director John Gambaro is thrilled to be announcing the latest venture from the group in their expanding portfolio. “We have made significant enhancements to our menu with the addition of a variety of delicious seafood dishes, featuring fresh Queensland catches to perfectly complement our renowned steak offerings, as well as introducing a stylish cocktail lounge bar, where guests can indulge in small plates from our menu while enjoying panoramic views of the river.”

Serving up simple, honest Italian fare with old-world charm, Cucina Regina is bound to transport your taste buds to Italy with antipasto, wood-fired pizza and handmade pasta. The incredible views won’t go astray, either.

The latest reveal from the purveyors of fine foodie experience in Brisbane, Potentia Solutions Leisure, is a big one! The same team who brought you Brissie venues such as Carmen Tequileria, Lina Rooftop, Soko Rooftop announced their Queen’s Wharf expansion to the delight of Brisbane foodies and cocktail connoisseurs.

Located within the $3.6billion Queens Wharf Development precinct, Azteca is the one of the newest names to join the Potentia family. With a kitchen helmed by Chef Zac Sykes (of Merivale and Rockpool group), diners can expect a Latin American atmosphere with Asian fusion dining.

The show-stopping interior design promises full-length water features built into the walls, Aztec artwork, live greenery, semi-private circular pods and 126 seats. We’ve even heard a rumour of a secret private dining room that will house 14 guests at a time, hidden behind a handcrafted Aztec wooden door.
