Great news for the girls! International Women’s Day in Adelaide has had a welcome change in 2025, backed by the South Australian Government to become International Women’s Week, with female-led and female-celebrating businesses, brands and events hosting events from March 1st to IWD on Saturday, March 8th. SA’s Women’s Week has been created to coincide with the UN’s 2025 theme to ‘March Forward,’ and the incredible lineup of inspirational talks, seaside high teas, thought-provoking performances and long brunches and lunches provide the perfect place to celebrate the brilliant contributions and work of women and girls here and around the world.

The number of sold-out events is a testament to the gals, but don’t worry if you’ve left your planning a little late. There are still a number of events for you to score a seat at. And, if you can’t make it in-person, do your bit behind the scenes and donate to a charitable cause or support an Australian female artist with a gorgeous new piece for your home. So, are you ready to be inspired and show your support? Here are the best International Women’s Day Events in Adelaide in 2025.

International Women’s Day Lunch at Molly’s

The ultimate GDO (Girls Day Out) awaits at Molly’s, sitting above The Colley Hotel on Glenelg’s Jetty Road. The two-hour drinks package and delish feed me menu isn’t even the best part (if you can believe it), because you’ll be hearing from two incredible South Australian women as you sip and swirl on selected wines. One of McLaren Vale’s top winemakers, Ashleigh Seymour, will inspire with a career that’s taken her from SA to Tuscany and back again, while Olympian Jessica Stenson will share her journey of balancing motherhood, running a business, striving for greatness and advocating for women in sport. We love to see it!

Friday, March 7th, 12:30pm – 2:30pm

Adelaide Screening of The M Factor: Shredding the Silence on Menopause

International Women’s Day will have passed by the March 29th screening of The M Factor, but the conversation about women’s health is only getting started. This groundbreaking documentary tackles the often-overlooked menopause crisis, including the challenges of perimenopause, and is having its only Adelaide screening thanks to local advocate Megan Hayward of Mimi Moon Meno. Following the film, a powerful discussion panel featuring leading voices in women’s health will explore the challenges women face, from misdiagnoses to economic instability. With menopause treatments now in the spotlight in SA, this event is more relevant than ever.
