Christkindmarkt

Christkindlmarkt

One thing that Christmas lacks in Adelaide (or Australia for that matter) is the magical white Christmas scenes we see in the movies. While there is certainly no snow on the forecast, no need for mittens and bobsleds, ugly Christmas sweaters or mulled wines, we are still able to get a glimpse of magical European Christmas in our very own Little Germany, with Christkindlmarkt in Hahndorf. This weekend, the charming town is once again transforming the main street into a Christmas wonderland, to mimic the Christmas markets that pop up around Europe at this most wonderful time of year. Browse the stalls for gifts, homewares, food and drinks, and take the opportunity to enjoy a day out the whole family will love, with entertainment, carols, and jolly good times ahead.
