Chloé Opens First-Ever Australian Boutique

Chloé has finally landed on our shores with the opening of the iconic French fashion house’s first-ever Australian boutique in Sydney. Taking up a spot on Sydney’s most fashionable strip, Castlereagh Street, the 117 square metre boutique is a reflection of the label’s signature feminine aesthetic and will stock ready-to-wear, leather goods, footwear and accessories all under one impossibly chic roof.

“Chloé is pleased to open its first boutique in Australia,” says Laurent Malecaze, President and CEO of Chloé. “This new address in Sydney allows us to deepen our connection with the region, where we’ll build a customer base and continue the Maison’s dialogue through Chemena Kamali’s creative vision. This extension is part of our multi-key strategy in the Asia-Pacific markets.”

More than just a boutique, the new Roscoe Street space channels a sort of sensual minimalism — part coastal refuge, part olfactory gallery. At its centre, a monolithic plinth showcases the brand’s full collection — think creamy amber-laced Nuit Blanche, fresh and grounded Bois du Matin, and the cult-fave Canadian Tuxedo, a raw yet refined nod to leather boots and vintage denim. There are also candles, hand washes and vinyl records layered throughout, all designed to draw you deeper into (S)MER’s sensory world.

Australian Fashion Week Has a New Home This Year

Australia’s biggest fashion showcase is shaking things up this year. After more than a decade at Carriageworks, Australian Fashion Week is relocating to the iconic Museum of Contemporary Art on Circular Quay for its 2026 edition. Ushering in a fresh, more public-facing chapter, it feels like the landmark moment in fashion is looking to be even bigger and bolder (and we have no doubt the iconic harbour backdrop will be put to good use as well). The move comes as the event continues under the Australian Fashion Council’s leadership, aiming to spotlight local creativity in a new kind of cultural setting.

Fashion week is set to run from May 11-15th.
