A Very Laufey Day

It’s finally getting frosty in Brisbane, but the calendar is heating up! We’re staying warm and cosy with comfort eats, indoor activities (art gallery crawl, anyone?) and moody wine bars that almost make up for missing out on Euro summer this year.

For weekend plans, hit your local market before making a bakery run to stock your fridge with top-notch produce from local farmers and food artisans.

Scroll on and let’s see what’s on in Brisbane this week.

Laufey Day is Coming to Brisbane

Beloved princess of the dreamiest jazz pop tunes, Laufey, has just announced that A Very Laufey Day will return for the third year running, to celebrate the launch of her new album, A Matter In Time. This Saturday, the 24th of August, live a day like Laufey thanks to a few select Brisbane venues who are bringing this activation to life.

Wondering what makes this day so quintessentially Laufey? Well, you get to treat yourself to just a few of her favourite things.

Rifle through curated racks of Laufeycore clothing (based on her personal style) at Bloom Op Shop, sip on A Matcha of Time Iced Honey Oat Milk Matcha at Kin, and delight in A Berry Laufey Day with Laufberries — a custom ice cream flavour available at Shiro Gelato & Snack.

The whole perfect day can draw to a close at Dymocks, where you can browse Laufey Book Club picks and pick up some of her merch.

Best enjoyed with your bestie, or spend a day out on your own with your headphones on as you soak up the songstress’ dulcet tones for the ultimate romanticised day out.
