Embrace Your Inner Francophile at the Bastille Festival Adelaide
If oozing raclette, sweet golden crepes, and buttery, flaky pastries sound like your cup of tea, you won’t want to miss this. Once exclusive to Sydney, the Bastille Festival is finally spreading its wings beyond the Harbour City. Claiming the title of Australia’s biggest French food, wine and artisan festival, you can go on a gastronomic adventure through France without the jetlag (or the expensive price tag!). From this Friday, lucky Adelaideans will get the chance to experience mouth-watering Parisian delights, hand-picked French wines and cheeses, and captivating live performances, all within a highly-anticipated three-day celebration of French food, wine and culture.

Raise a Glass To Chardonnay May
Throughout May, cellar doors of the Adelaide Hills will be showcasing—and celebrating—the textural, stylistic, clean, crisp, zesty, smooth and nutty flavours and aromas of the region’s Chardonnays with a range of unmissable (and extremely sippable) events and experiences throughout Chardonnay May. This weekend, Ondeen is hosting a New Wave Chardonnay dinner on Friday evening, while on Saturday evening, Ngeringa is celebrating 20 years of Chardonnay with a special dinner at Chianti. On Sunday, Golding Wines and Petaluma are paying a visit to North Adelaide’s Caledonian for Chardonnay in the City.
With a brand new, treasure-hunt style Chardonnay May Trail that encourages visitors follow a map to uncover the unique expressions of Adelaide Hills Chardonnay (and win prizes), there are also heaps of lunches, dinners, masterclasses and live music events to choose from as part of the month-long celebration—check out the full program here.
