We’ve partnered with Strut & Fret to toast La Ronde, the daring, immersive after-dark spectacle from the creators of Blanc de Blanc, now showing at The Grand Electric with an extended Sydney season.

Sydney’s late-night theatre scene has a new pulse. La Ronde, the lavish, boundary-pushing circus cabaret from the creators of Blanc de Blanc and LIMBO, is now showing at The Grand Electric in Surry Hills, delivering a heady collision of circus, cabaret, live music and darkly comic provocation.

Set inside the intimate, in-the-round spiegeltent, La Ronde invites audiences to surrender completely. This is theatre stripped of distance and decorum, where performers soar overhead, bodies twist in impossible balances and moments of seduction, humour and surprise unfold just metres from your seat. A single spotlight cuts through the darkness, the beat drops, and suddenly the room fractures into glitter, limbs and motion.

Produced by Australian live entertainment powerhouse Strut & Fret, La Ronde showcases the company at its most daring. Known for reshaping the adult circus and cabaret landscape, Strut & Fret are also behind Adelaide’s The Garden of Unearthly Delights, Brisbane’s West End Electric and Sydney’s Grand Electric, along with the London-based hit Sabrage, currently enjoying a sell-out West End season.

Following a triumphant run across Australia, La Ronde has now extended its Sydney season through January and February, responding to overwhelming demand. Critics have been effusive, describing the show as “saucy, sensational and undeniably sexy” (The Advertiser) and “a dazzling whirlwind of elegance and exhilaration” (Hi Fi Way). Audience reviews echo the sentiment, praising the cast’s astonishing physicality, fearless performances and the intoxicating atmosphere of The Grand Electric itself.

The experience is elevated further by a range of premium seating options, from Ringside VIP seats with sparkling on arrival to Moët Champagne Tables for two, offering a private perch and a bottle of bubbles as part of the show. For those chasing value, Tightarse Wednesdays offer a special fixed-price ticket, making midweek indulgence all the more tempting.

Looking beyond summer, Strut & Fret have also confirmed that their sell-out sensation Late Night Vice will land in Sydney this February, expanding the city’s appetite for bold, adults-only circus cabaret.
