Pinned: The Homewares We’re Eyeing This Month
Consider this a peek inside the Sitchu team’s collective Pinterest boards, wishlists and shopping carts.
Winter is for leaning into the good stuff at home: wine nights, vinyl, cosy beds, long baths and convincing yourself that walking on a treadmill counts as a productive evening. This month, the Sitchu team is shopping for the pieces that make those everyday rituals a little more enjoyable, alongside a few beautiful things we just really, really like.

After just settling on our first family home in July, I’m obsessing over interiors and colour matching and now my Pinterest and Instagram algorithm has gone on a full homewares overhaul. I’m loving art, mid-century tub chairs and vintage stores.
My art fixation started at the Affordable Art Fair in Sydney last year, where I picked up “On the Move” by Heidi Lai, and now one of Heidi’s painting just isn’t enough. Mirrors are another obsession, and this Zanne Floor Mirror is calling my name, I love its curved black iron frame for something timeless, or for a little more fun the Tigmi Curve Mirror is also a top pick. The Reflections 4 Mirror by Hélène König sits somewhere between a mirror and an art sculpture, which is a win for me. It’s stocked at Kerrie-Ann Jones, a designer’s treasure trove worth knowing about for its curation of contemporary art and objects, plus mid-century furniture.
Vintage shops have also become my new vice. The other weekend I lost two hours at Mitchell Road Antique & Design Centre and nearly walked out with a brown retro occasional chair, but sadly it was too big. I’ve also been actively searching for an authentic Italian Murano glass vase, but if I can’t find “the one” I do also have my eye on the Fiore Bowl in Rose.
I never thought I’d want an AI assistant in my home, but the Alexa+ launch here in Australia has me converted. It’s included at no extra cost for Amazon Prime members (wining!), and it can now make restaurant bookings, play songs you can’t fully remember the name of, and help with quick weeknight dinner recipes. A few less things I need to think about, which is exactly the kind of energy I want when moving house.

Cosy season is well and truly here, and this super soft cotton wool blend blanket from Bed Threads‘ newest collection is exactly what my nights in have been missing — I already know we’ll be fighting over it at home. Pairing it with this portable Chrome Lamp from Freedom for the ultimate moody night-in setup.
These bubble house numbers from Mud Australia have been my go-to gift for anyone moving house, so with a move of my own potentially on the cards, I figured it was time to add these back onto my wishlist.
I’m on a mission to cut back on microplastics in the kitchen, and the Wood Fibre Chopping Board Trio from Seed & Sprout is where I’m starting. A set of quality boards feels like a small but meaningful swap.
As a cocker spaniel owner, these long-eared dog bowls from Newcastle-based small business By Franka are a game changer. I already have one in the chocolate brown colourway and need a second to complete the set. They’re designed to keep long ears out of food and water, plus they will look super cute in my kitchen too.
And lastly, I’ve been on the hunt for a statement print to complete my living room. I’ve had my eye on Australian artist Emma Martin, who has just dropped her latest collection inspired by Noosa. This gorgeous print, Breakfast at Bar Capri will finish off my space perfectly.

I’ve clearly been having a bit of a moment with chrome lately (evidence below!), and this metallic vase is no exception. It feels sculptural and unique, but still simple enough to slot into our busy house without feeling too precious for everyday life.
These dishes from La Casa Homewares are enough to pull me out of my winter hibernation and start thinking about spring entertaining. Sculptural, fun and made for piling with oysters, snacks and anything really.
Continuing the chrome theme, I’m a longtime fan of Leif’s home products and this chrome bottle feels like the perfect match for my current obsession. Practical, pretty and very happy to be left on display.
I’ve really cut back on how much I’m drinking through winter, so when I do open a bottle, it has to be worth it, and this one sure is. Because why save the good stuff for a special occasion, right?
Our record player recently crashed and burned, so I’ve been on the hunt for a replacement. I love the vintage look of this one, but the built-in speakers and compact size make it a much more practical option for our home, too.
I’m in a constant internal battle with myself to drink more water and stop buying lunch every day. So when I saw Le Creuset had released a new wave of colours for its insulated water bottles (and the Essential Lunch Set was on sale) I took it as a sign.
I know treadmills and walking pads are very Covid-coded and I’m very late to the party, but I’m just not hitting my steps at the moment so thinking this might the secret weapon I need to help me get there.

Rather than mindlessly consuming TV every evening, my partner and I are getting back into vinyl and wine nights. Unfortunately, our current setup (overpacked milk crates on the floor) leaves a lot to be desired. This mid-century sideboard from Melbourne-based brand Cubics is more the cool vinyl nook vibes I had in mind. To set the mood, I’ll be adding this cordless chrome lamp and this stunning oyster incense holder from Corey Ashford. Pair with a new set of Riedel wine glasses (the best in my opinion), one of these sculptural ceramic share plates filled with our favourite snacks and a game of backgammon, and suddenly weeknights are looking a whole lot more romantic.
Less romantic but just as critical to my weekly rituals, I’m desperate for some new bath towels. I should probably go for something sensible and somewhat affordable like these cotton terry towels from Linen House, but when I saw that Missoni Home had launched on The Iconic, it didn’t take long for these luxurious bath towels to find their way onto my wishlist.
Now that you’ve uncovered our current homeware obsessions, check out these design-led washable rugs for a delicious dash of underfoot comfort. Or turn your attention to the bedroom, with some chic new sheets from these Australian bedding brands.
