If your Mum loves a luxe little treat, Corner 33 has just dropped the perfect curated picnic hamper loaded with sweet, savoury and everything in between. Created by Chef Angie (former Head of Pastry at Nobu Melbourne) & Chef Khai (ex Nobu Melbourne sushi chef), the $130 hamper features premium Japanese leaning savouries like butter poached lobster rolls, creamy curry crab croquette, Bluefin tuna sushi rolls and spicy salmon onigiri. The sweet stuff is next-level too: seasonal fruit sandos, passionfruit apple tarts, orange cheesecake, raspberry financiers and sourdough scones served with miso maple whipped brown butter and yuzu strawberry jam. Set Off On a Flower Trail Through Subiaco
Each year, the award-winning Subi Blooms festival teams up with acclaimed artists and florists to create a series of awe-inspiring installations throughout the streets of Subi, on show from May 8th to 10th. Grab a coffee, set off on a stroll through the streets, snapping breathtaking displays as you go, sit for brunch at one of Subiaco’s cafes, then head to the Gather Village for fresh flowers, live music and sips from Bar Amelie. It’s the charming all-ages Mother’s Day ritual you’ll be repeating every year.

Go For a Wholesome Breakfast Backed By Beautiful Blooms
A cracking breaky, good coffee and quality time. Sometimes the best Mother’s Days are that simple – and The Cool Room Cafe has simplicity perfected. Mother’s Day menu highlights include house granola with sheep’s yoghurt and poached rhubarb; sourdough crumpets with brown butter hollandaise, smoked salmon and pickled cucumber; and a Scandi-style breakfast plate featuring a sesame seed-topped sourdough bun, soft-boiled eggs, sour blueberry compote and thin slices of local cheese. One of our favourite florists, Ugly Bunches, also happens to be mere steps away, so you can treat mum to a bouquet to-go while you’re here too.
Best of all, it’s walk-in only, so unlike most cafes in Perth, you can still get a table (if you’re early enough, of course).

Treat Mum To a Hearty Sunday Roast With All the Trimmings
We know, we know… Mum makes the best roast. But Besk’s comes pretty close, and it’s the perfect excuse to take the main lady out for a hearty meal. This Sunday, you’ve got a Black Angus & Wagyu cross rump cap and stout braised and glazed beef cheek on the go, served with all the trimmings: roast potatoes, baby carrots, broccolini, whipped horseradish, Yorkshire pudding, and a generous side jug of red wine & port gravy. The Berwick in East Victoria Park is hosting a beautiful set-menu breakfast this Mother’s Day, with sittings at 8.30am and 9am. There’ll be pastries, there’ll be fresh seasonal fruit, and your choice of breakfast main, along with coffee or fresh juice. Plus, for an extra $55 they’ll organise for a floral bouquet to be ready on the table when Mum arrives. Talk about brownie points!
Afterwards, you can pick up a coffee to go while the kids explore the epic nature playground or go for a wander at the nearby park. It’s just the right amount of chill and fun for those celebrating with young kids in tow.
