Melbourne’s Next Viral Pizza Drop Is Happening Inside Kingpin

Melbourne’s next cult pizza drop is happening inside Kingpin, with three viral food creators taking over the Collins Arcade kitchen for a six-week pizza residency.

Melbourne’s next great pizza obsession is not coming from a tiny trattoria, a laneway wine bar or somewhere with a month-long waitlist. It is landing inside Kingpin.

The entertainment venue is launching the Kingpin Pizza Residency, a six-week run of limited-edition pizza drops at its new Collins Arcade venue, with three of Australia’s most talked-about food creators taking over the kitchen one by one. Each creator gets two weeks on the menu, kicking off with a one-night-only supper club before the next pizza arrives.

First up is Benjamin Townsend, better known online as @yungcookgod, whose first drop is a Banh Mi Pork Belly Pizza. Yes, that means crispy pork belly, punchy Vietnamese-inspired flavours and pizza in the same sentence, served at a place better known for arcade games, bowling and batting cages than cult food moments.

He will be followed by Melbourne food creator and private chef Lucy Rosenberg of @food_bylucy, whose pizza will take a French turn, before Sydney pastry chef and creator Veronika Indrawan of @verorocherr closes the residency with an indulgent dessert-style pizza.

The supper clubs are the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it part. Each event runs for two hours, with only 20 tickets available, priced at $80 per person. Tickets include a cocktail on arrival, a three-course dinner headlined by the creator’s pizza, unlimited beer, wine and spirits, a live Q&A, arcade credits and a take-home goody bag.

The Kingpin Pizza Residency runs from 18th June to 30th July 2026 at Kingpin Collins Arcade, Lower Ground, 260 Collins Street, Melbourne.
