Hotel Panorama, Adelaide

Adelaide’s southern suburbs are about to get a serious upgrade in style and staycations. Hotel Panorama, a $60 million Hurtley Hotel Group project bringing laid-back luxury to the city’s doorstep. With 77 rooms across three levels, including 26 serviced apartments and a honeymoon suite, the hotel caters to every stay — from Classic King and Twin rooms for a city escape, to Deluxe Studios with kitchenettes and soaking tubs, Classic Family rooms, and indulgent Luxury and Panorama Suites with private balconies.

Distinct spaces and shared moments define the hotel’s food and drink offering, from the Lobby Bar’s all-day modern Australian bistro favourites, to the Restaurant’s polished table service and curated wine list, Sideline’s pub classics and crowd-pleasing plates, and Wonderland rooftop bar with share-style dishes, cocktails, and sweeping city, coast, and Adelaide Hills views. With function rooms, a gaming lounge, fire lounge, and beer garden, Hotel Panorama is more than a stay making Hotel Panorama more than just a place to check in.

Marine & Harbours Hotel

After sitting vacant for more than two decades, the iconic 1978 Marine and Harbours Building is getting a full-on waterfront revival. As part of the Dock One masterplan, the Marine & Harbours Hotel from Kite Projects, Enzo Caroscio Architects, Enoki Design and Build Inc, will blend style, history, and harbour views, turning a long-forgotten landmark into a must-visit destination.

The retro boutique hotel will feature 150 thoughtfully designed guest rooms and 10 floating suites on the Port River, alongside a rooftop bar, restaurant, conference facilities, and curated food and beverage experiences. Guests can also enjoy an open-air cinema, creating a vibrant mix of leisure, work, and waterfront culture.

Demolition works will commence in the coming months, with completion of the hotel expected in 2027.

Monarto Safari Lodge

South Australia’s outback has a new rhythm. Opening April 2nd, 2026, Safari Lodge is the latest luxury stay at Monarto Safari Resort, bringing guests closer than ever to the park’s Wild Africa precinct.

Twenty safari tents and a central lodge encircle a tranquil waterhole, where giraffes, zebras, nyala, and ostriches roam freely, creating a constantly changing bush panorama. Each tent blends comfort with immersion, featuring king or twin beds, ensuite bathrooms, private dressing rooms, and lounge areas that spill onto the plains. Two accessible tents ensure everyone can share the experience.

Beyond the tents, guests can unwind in swimming and plunge pools, hit the gym, or try their hand at pickleball — or simply soak up the view. Packages start from $2,920 per tent and include two-day park access, a Wild Africa Sunset Safari, all meals, afternoon canapés, and all-day beverages.

Crystalbrook Sam

Crystalbrook Collection’s first South Australian hotel, Crystalbrook Sam, has just reached full height on Halifax Street, edging closer to its highly anticipated late-2026 debut. Set to bring a fresh wave of contemporary luxury to the city’s southern precinct, the 12-storey stay will house 196 design-forward rooms and suites, each styled with Crystalbrook’s signature blend of sustainability, personality and polished comfort.

Up top, a Level 12 destination restaurant is primed to become a table-to-book, where sweeping views from the CBD to the Adelaide Hills meet menus celebrating South Australian produce. Wellness lovers will be equally spoiled, with Eléme Day Spa making its Adelaide debut alongside a pool, sauna and gym. A café, bar and curated meeting and event spaces round out the offering — all set to elevate Adelaide’s luxury landscape and anchor a new era of stay-and-play in the heart of the city.

Hotel to Rise Above Historic Glenelg Terrace

At 1 Moseley Street, a new 10-storey hotel will rise behind Alexandra Terrace, the Victorian-era building that has long anchored this corner of Glenelg. Led by Future Urban and PACT Architects, the terrace will be carefully conserved and thoughtfully revitalised, opening to new life with a restaurant, bar, wellness spaces and suites.

Behind it, a contemporary tower will house 90 rooms, stepping lightly into the skyline while complementing the rhythm of Alexandra Terrace and the surrounding streetscape. Together, old and new are set to form a precinct that feels lived-in yet alive with possibility.

Coming to 1 Moseley Street, Glenelg

Treehouse Hotel, Market Square

Treehouse Hotel is bringing its globally recognised lifestyle brand to Market Square as part of the $400M precinct redevelopment, mixing nostalgia, sustainability, and local vibes into a hotel that’s playful, creative, and unmistakably city-centre cool.

The first Treehouse Hotel in Australia, it will have 248 rooms, a rooftop terrace, a restaurant and bar with outdoor seating, and flexible event spaces designed to do more than host guests. Think live music during Adelaide Fringe, rooftop cinema nights in summer, and design showcases during Adelaide Festival — this isn’t just a stay, it’s a city playground.

Construction is underway, with doors expected to open late 2026.

Luxe New Era for Adelaide’s Mayfair Hotel

Big news for Adelaide’s luxury scene: the beloved Mayfair Hotel is getting a glamorous new chapter. IHG Hotels & Resorts has partnered with Ark Capital to reimagine the heritage-listed 1930s landmark as Kimpton Mayfair Adelaide, marking the brand’s second Australian hotel. Known globally for thoughtful design, soulful hospitality and locally loved restaurants and bars, Kimpton will bring a boutique-meets-playful edge to the CBD icon. The hotel will continue operating under the Mayfair name, before a full refurbishment, with its grand relaunch slated for late 2026. A new era of luxury living (and rooftop sipping) is on the horizon.

InterContinental Barossa Resort & Spa

Slated to open in 2028, pending planning approval, the InterContinental Barossa Resort & Spa will be the crown jewel of the Southern Barossa Winery and Tourist Accommodation Project. Set among rolling hills and vineyards at Williamstown, the resort promises a next-level luxury escape in South Australia’s most iconic wine region. Plans reveal 150 premium guest rooms, each designed to capture sweeping vineyard views, alongside a 130-seat fine-dining restaurant, lounge and terrace spaces, landscaped courtyards, and a vineyard-vista bar. Guests can expect a full-service wellness spa, resort-style pool, and state-of-the-art fitness centre, complemented by conference and event facilities for elevated retreats and celebrations. The wider precinct will also feature a boutique winery, cellar door, tasting rooms, and an additional on-site restaurant, creating a fully immersive food, wine and wellness destination.

Mount Barker $50 Million Hotel Precinct

A proposed project all but guaranteed to boost tourism, jobs and investment opportunities in a rapidly-growing pocket of Adelaide, Accord Property is seeking approval for a four-star, 120-room hotel at Mount Barker’s Summit Precinct. This game-changing hotel will be the first major tourism investment in the 50-hectare site, which already features the Summit Sport and Recreation Park, and the soon-to-open Summit Aquatic and Leisure Centre. The luxury hotel – and the integrated $15 million wellness centre planned for future development stages – will firmly put Mount Barker on the map, transforming the town into a premier regional destination for travel and leisure.

Through a competitive selection process, Accord Property has been selected as the developer, and has already partnered with a major, high-profile hotel group for the project. This new hotel perfectly aligns with the Mount Barker District Council’s vision to establish the Summit Precinct as a regional hub for tourism, sport, and events only 35 minutes from Adelaide CBD.
