If you needed another reason to book a table, Pellegrino 2000 has a pretty impressive celebrity guest list. Sydney’s dining scene had a major moment last night, with Hailey Bieber spotted at one of the CBD’s most iconic restaurants. While in town to launch her beauty brand Rhode (now available at MECCA and online) in February and speak at Vogue’s Forces of Fashion, the model and founder slipped into the much-loved Mr Wong’s for dinner. We hope she ordered the Peking duck pancakes and the prawn and scallop siu mai. Consider this your sign to book a table.

Neptune’s Grotto

The moodily lit interiors of Neptune’s Grotto makes it the perfect place for dinner (especially if you’re a major celeb looking for some privacy). Hailey Bieber was spotted enjoying an after dinner treat at the CBD hotspot.

The venue was dreamt up by the same team behind Pellegrino 2000 which is a Sydney favourite of Taylor Swift’s, so it’s little wonder this is a similar hit.

Shark Beach was glowing this morning as Hailey Bieber hosted her official rhose launch at one of Sydney’s most breathtaking waterfront venues, The Nielsen. Think light-drenched interiors, sweeping harbour views and gorgeous stained glass windows which really set the scene as influencers gathered to celebrate. Safe to say, this spot just had its main-character moment.

Ester and 10 William St

Dua sure knows how to pick ’em! Kicking off the Sydney leg of her Radical Optimism tour in style, Dua has made her way through Chippendale, Paddington and Coogee. Where exactly?

Dua dined on Yamba king prawns in fermented shrimp butter at Ester, murray cod, agretti and garlic at cosy wine bar 10 William St and Bluefin toro at coastal gem Mimi’s. The gal’s got taste!

Having recently teamed up with Google Maps, she gave a little more insight into what she loves about these spots.

“Ester in Sydney is wood-fired cooking and excellent natural wine in a room that always has great energy. The menu changes constantly, and there’s a real confidence to the cooking that I love. A Sydney essential.”

“10 William Street in Paddington is one of those places that just gets it right. Great Italian-influenced natural wine list, brilliant food, and a room that feels like it belongs somewhere in Rome or Naples.”

Of course, it’s not a trip to Sydney without a stop at Bondi Beach, where the Houdini singer was spotted grabbing a scoop of the good stuff from Gelato Messina. Her flavour of choice? Salted coconut and mango, obviously.

When two of the world’s biggest A-listers are in town, you can trust we need to find out where they’re grabbing their morning coffee from. While on holidays in Byron Bay, Aussie actor Jacob Elordi and rumoured girlfriend Kendall Jenner were spotted grabbing a post-walk pick-me-up at local icon, The Byron Bay General Store.

A cornerstone of Byron’s burgeoning cafe and dining culture, this local treasure has served some of the best brunches in town since 1947. Expect a healthy, uncomplicated menu with a focus on local and quality food – it’s the kind of place that locals (and celebs) just can’t get enough of.

Brat summer pioneer Charli XCX was spotted dining out in Sydney hotspot Potts Point, fuelling up post-Laneway festival. What was on the menu? Middle Eastern-inspired restaurant Ezra was her primary port of call with Ezra‘s fresh hummus and cult favourite baklava ice cream dishes of note.

The 365 party girl scheduled some well-deserved rest and relaxation at celeb hot-spot Byron Bay, where she was spotted at Raes on Wategos. Her order? Caviar served with cream, chives and seaweed potato crisps — with a martini to match. Iconic.

This joint is all about that 100% vegan vibe. Yellow’s dishes are centred around contemporary vegan meals, with every plate featuring produce grown by local suppliers. Housed in a converted 1950s art gallery, Yellow is the perfect mix of hip and healthy. The Euphoria star has been a vegetarian for years now, so it’s fitting that she checked out this popular venue. 

Zendaya also explored the bustling bar scene of inner-city Sydney, enjoying a tipple at Saké Restaurant & Bar in The Rocks. Attracting foodies from all over thanks to its washoku (traditional Japanese cuisine) and mind-blowingly long sake list. It knows its clientele well, offering express lunches and bento box deals during the week and a string of private dining rooms (perfect for an A-lister who wants to fly incognito) for those who want to feast with a more intimate group.

Setting up camp at the Crown Towers while in town, the singer conveniently headed downstairs from her presidential suite for a bite at Japanese hotspot Nobu for dinner. Located in Crown Sydney, this global culinary hotspot is a favourite of celebrities and locals alike.

The restaurant artfully combines Chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa’s expertise with the local talents of Chef Harold Hurtada. Japanese tradition blends with locally sourced ingredients, offering imaginative dishes and global classics for a truly Gorgeous meal.

Naturally, she loved them…because of course she did.

During an interview on the red carpet for the Australia premier, Pedro mentioned that he popped into Coogee’s Mediterranean hotspot, Mimi’s, stating that the oysters were “my favourite meal” he’s had of recent. Any opportunity to sling back dozens of oysters and call it a meal, we’re there. And given Mimi’s has a dedicated oyster and caviar bar, we’re not surprised this spot left such an impression on the Hollywood star.

In a move that had many fans asking “What Was That?”, Kiwi singer Lorde turned up at a party thrown in her honour at one of Sydney’s hottest clubs.

Mary’s Underground hosted a Lorde-themed club night on Sunday, May 25 with DJs spinning and mixing the best tunes from the singer’s discography, but no-one expected that the guest of honour herself would show up to celebrate.

Rocking up in the late evening, the 28-year-old danced and posed with the crowd before stepping on stage to lead her fans in an epic singalong to her new single.

First stop, Icebergs Bondi — a Bondi icon known for its stunning ocean views and fresh, contemporary Australian fare. Next, she hit Mimi’s Coogee, a trendy spot famous for its cocktails and chic, coastal vibes.

Model, musician and actress Gabbriette has wasted no time in hitting up some of Sydney’s hottest spots while she was in town filming I Know What You Did Last Summer. 

Most notably, she stopped by Pellegrino 2000 in Surry Hills (where her fiancé Matty Healy’s ex Taylor Swift famously dined back in February 2024), choosing a plate of anchovies, roasted peppers and tomato vinaigrette and prawn ravioli. 

She also shared on Instagram that a manoush from hole-in-the-wall Teta’s Deli in Potts Point was “one of the best things” she’s eaten in a while. Want to steal her order? She chose a Lebanese flat bread stuffed with chicken, haloumi, pickles, toum and chilli and also picked up a jar of the deli’s famous homemade pickles.

So, what Sydney destinations made the cut for the reality TV star when she was in town last February alongside husband Travis Barker for his band Blink 182’s tour? 

Kourt and her family feasted their way around Sydney, with one of their first meals Down Under at Fred’s in Paddington. This charming spot exudes the warmth of a friend’s rustic country home, where you can perch at the kitchen counter for an intimate view of culinary magic over the open-fire hearth.

Here, it’s all about life’s simple luxuries with a French twist, from just-harvested greens to artisanal bread and sustainably sourced meats and seafood. The thoughtfully crafted wine list celebrates ethical choices and small growers who embrace environmentally friendly practices.

Barker and Kardashian made a beeline to the Rock n Roll Burger Joint in Bondi, which is fitting as the menu has several burgers named after the band. While in the beachside neighbourhood, they also chowed down at Sydney’s most famous vegan pastry locale, Funky Pies. 

Kourt treated her kids Reign and Penelope to brunch at Mimi’s in Coogee and breakfast, and of course, gelato at the one and only Messina (Reign ordered the blood-orange sorbet). 

Finally, no trip to Sydney is complete without a pilgrimage to Bills in Bondi, and Kourt and her family enjoyed lunch here during their whirlwind visit. The group ordered the hotcake, the grass-fed burger, and pasta. Well played!
