Fritzenberger

Fritzenberger

It would be easy to mistake Fritzenburger for a bustling bar when you drive past their Wilston Village location on a weeknight, with their packed tables of joyful patrons. But this humble (and popular) burger joint is one not to be missed when hunting down high-quality carbs.

The menu comprises classic burgs, rebuilt with chef-sourced local ingredients to deliver taste, texture and balance, best served with a side of fries and one of Fritzenburger’s craft beers. Jee’s Burger & Chicken

Jee’s Burger & Chicken

As much as we love a gourmet burger with a twist, sometimes something simple is best. That’s when we head to Jee’s Burger & Chicken, for a quality, classic burger experience that never disappoints.

Chef Ricky Kim (formerly of Two Small Rooms) was so passionate about returning to top quality, simple ingredients and burgers made well, that he set up shop in the CBD to bring the inner-city folk the meals they’ve been craving. With a simple menu spanning American-style burgers, hand-cut chips and crispy Korean fried chicken, Jee’s might seem unassuming, but the endless five-star reviews don’t lie.

Burgster

Burgster

Whilst this one is a little bit of a drive from Brisbane, we had to give an honourable mention to the best burgers on the Gold Coast. A hop, skip and a jump from the main drag in Palm Beach, Burgster is a local favourite when it comes to casual lunch or dinner eats.

This cosy and nostalgic diner is known for its housemade sauces, and top-notch organic, free-range meat. They sure know how to mix a cocktail, too! We love the buffalo chicken burger (stacked with pickles, lettuce, tomato and blue cheese mayo) but the crumbed mushroom burger is not to be missed, layered with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and Burgster sauce.
