Living in Broadbeach
The Locals

Just south of Surfers Paradise, living in Broadbeach means enjoying some of the Gold Coast’s most iconic attractions – the Gold Coast Star Casino, Pacific Fair, and the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. Locals never tire of the year-round holiday feel and world-class amenities. Pacific Fair, the premier shopping destination of the Gold Coast, is retail on steroids – department stores, high-end boutiques, established brands, and concept stores are in abundance. The Gold Coast Star Casino offers state-of-the-art gaming, award-winning restaurants and bars, and live entertainment. The Broadbeach Markets and Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival are regular fixtures on the annual events calendar, and food festivals and music events take centre stage throughout the year. When the summer holidays roll around, all eyes are on Kurrawa Beach – surfing enthusiasts vie for the perfect wave.

For those living in Broadbeach, the enviable year-round outdoor lifestyle is a highlight. Waterfront properties with boat ramp access line the canals, there are plentiful green spaces and boardwalks, and the surf beach and Gold Coast Hinterland region are within easy reach. Even during peak holiday seasons, the area’s charm remains undiminished.

Area Features

Kurrawah Beach

Bronzed bodies sporting red and yellow are a fixture on Kurrawa Beach. Quintessentially Australian, the strong Surf Living Saving community patrol this expansive beach, which is renowned for its surf conditions.

Shopping

Retail therapy is taken very seriously. The Oasis and Pacific Fair Shopping Centres are brimming with stores and eateries.

Food and Wine

Thanks to the Star Casino, Broadbeach is home to 24/7 bars and restaurants. Away from the Casino, Broadbeach has an impressive line-up of cafes, fine dining and affluent cocktail lounges to rival its northern neighbour, Surfers Paradise.

Arts and Entertainment

Regular beachfront markets, food festivals and annual music events grace the streets of Broadbeach throughout the year.

Holiday-makers aside, 20-somethings, professionals, families and retirees all call Broadbeach home. It is a transient population and holiday homes are in abundance, but there is a sense of community locals can tap into.
