On April 12th,2026, The Parade transforms into a playground of flavour, fizz, and festival energy for the Norwood Food and Wine Festival. Whether you’re a foodie veteran, a footy fan, or someone who just wants a good time, this guide will help you navigate Norwood’s biggest street party without missing a beat.

What’s Happening, Where & When

From 11am, The Parade comes alive with music and pop-up food and drink stalls. The cafes, restaurants, and bars spill onto the street, serving South Australian produce, local wines, craft beer, and inventive cocktails. Entry is free, so bring the crew, your appetite, and a sense of adventure.

Where to Eat (and What to Devour)

The festival is a feast waiting to happen, and you’ll want to pace yourself — or don’t, we won’t judge. Seafood lovers are in for a treat: Massey Urban Cellar Door & KIN Premium Seafood serve fresh Port Lincoln sashimi with crisp SA wines, while Fair Seafood pairs oysters with the tang of Never Never Gin and smooth Yangarra wines. Soi 38 smokes octopus and satay in a Yodar smoker for maximum flavour impact.

If Asian and fusion flavours are more your vibe, Madame Wu’s Noodle Bar grills prawns over charcoal, Mr Chu and Danny’s Thai whip up live-cooked curries, Kokko keeps the Korean fried chicken coming, and Sushi Kintaro tempts with tempura and fresh sushi rolls that are almost too pretty to eat.

Italian and European options are just as tempting. Pseudo Spaghetti x Signature Wines serves sliders, pasta, and ricotta dumplings, while Grotto on Edward Pizza-teca dishes arancini and Italian sausage. Andre’s Cucina & Polenta Bar smashes lasagna with creamy burrata, and Schild Estate and Enoteca tosses pasta through a parmesan wheel for that extra wow factor.

BBQ fans, meat lovers, and spice seekers, you’re well covered. Ragini Dey, Dairyman and Ginny Pig brings pork, cheese, mushrooms, and gin; Yannis Yiros grills lamb and chicken; Koyla smokes Indian curries over charcoal; vegetarians can indulge in Haloumi by Kris Lloyd’s smoky BBQ halloumi; arkhe serves wagyu burgers, pork nachos, and Jamaican cauliflower; Good Gilbert & asha bring Middle Eastern flavours cooked on a hibachi, paired with SA wines; while Somma dishes Greek-style spit meats stuffed into pita pockets, and Rosa Mexicano fires up Mexican food and drinks with fun footpath activations.

Sweet treats are standing by, too. Shmochi by Shibui tempts with SA-produced ice cream, gelato, and doughnuts, while Gelato Bello has a festival-exclusive gelato flavour made for snapping pics and indulging. Feeling a little cheesy? Project Burrata x Amadio Wines serves up burrata bowls paired with local wines, and Pasta Deli rounds out dessert dreams with signature tiramisu and cocktails.

Drinks are equally irresistible. Options Wine Bar pours premium wines, cocktails, and Bowden Brewing beers; Prancing Pony Brewery has beer, slushies, and gin; Brewers Lane showcases eight independent SA brewers. Bar Lune, Dolly, Oliveti and Fettle team up for dumplings, fried chicken, duck salad, and gnoccho fritto with cocktails and wine, while the Penfolds Wine Bar, celebrating 75 years of Grange, offers DJ Lesley Williams and Magill Estate snacks to keep the afternoon buzzing.

Entertainment & AFL Energy

The festival’s entertainment keeps the vibe buzzing all day long. DJs Mark Maxwell and Anika Haynes mix beats alongside live sets from Germein and Lesley Williams ft. Dusty Lee Stephenson & Matt Sammut, leading into Alex Hosking. The evening culminates with The Presets from 6 to 7pm, performing hits like My People and Talk Like That, lighting up the street with festival energy.

Meanwhile, catch AFL Gather Round games on big screens along the Parade. Families can enjoy sensory screenings at Hoyts, ensuring the festival is fully inclusive and welcoming for all.

  • 12pm – Geelong Cats vs West Coast Eagles
  • 2.45pm – GWS Giants vs Richmond
  • 6.30pm – Port Adelaide vs St Kilda

Getting Around: Public Transport & Parking

Parking along The Parade is limited, and roads will be closed for the festival. Skip the stress and hop on the free City to Norwood bus shuttle, which runs from the city to Norwood Oval in 15–20 minutes. Adelaide Metro buses connect seamlessly to the shuttle. Driving? Plan for paid off-street parking and detours, because this is one day you don’t want to waste circling the block.
