Townsville's newest luxury hotel, Ardo, opened its doors in late 2023, and well let's just say they had us at rooftop infinity pool (Tropical North Queensland's first and only to be precise)!
Perfectly positioned with views across the Coral Sea and Magnetic Island, the rooftop is but the cherry on top of what is set to be one of Queensland's most exciting hotel openings of 2023. The infamous W Hotel empire is much loved around the world and is set to take centre stage in Darling Harbour in October 2023. Already establishing its Aussie roots in Brisbane and Melbourne, the Sydney venue, which is part of Marriott International, will have 585 guestrooms, suites, studio suites, a two-story rooftop bar and a heated infinity rooftop bar.

Capella Sydney, a luxurious sandstone hotel located in The Department of Education building, opened its doors in March and has been creating quite the buzz ever since. The grand building, originally designed by architect George McRae in the early 1900s, has been meticulously restored and reimagined by Pontiac Land in collaboration with Make Architects.
The hotel offers 192 guest rooms and suites, with three ground-level food and beverage outlets - Aperture, Brasserie 1930, and McRae Bar.
