WOMADelaide 2027 Has Just Revealed Its First Big Names
Three very different acts have just joined the bill, giving us a first hint at what WOMADelaide has in store for 2027.
WOMADelaide has given us our first glimpse at what’s in store for its 35th year, and there’s already plenty to get excited about. The festival returns to Botanic Park/Tainmuntilla from March 5 to 8, 2027, with an eclectic mix of international favourites set to take the stage.
The full lineup is still to come, but this first taste should be enough to have Adelaide’s music lovers circling the calendar.
So, Who’s Coming to WOMADelaide 2027?
First up is Leon Bridges, who will bring his soulful sound to Adelaide as part of his Happiness Anytime tour. Named for his upcoming fifth studio album, the tour marks a slightly sunnier turn for the Grammy-winning artist, with Jamaican dancehall and Afrobeat influences woven through the new record.
Then comes Madness, bringing more than four decades of British ska-pop to Botanic Park. If Our House, Baggy Trousers and House of Fun are already firmly lodged in your musical memory, you’ll know exactly what kind of singalong is in store.
Rounding out the reveal is Tinariwen, the Grammy-winning Tuareg group returning to WOMADelaide for the first time since their 2004 debut. Their desert blues sound blends electric guitar, traditional rhythms and storytelling rooted in Tuareg culture.
