Our Souls Needed This $69 Bottomless Pasta Night

This Hunter Street supper club is making a very compelling case for a midweek night out, and we’re listening.

Zaffi; the late-night Lebanese hospitality venue that’s quietly become one of the CBD’s most interesting dinner spots; has launched Pasta Thursdays, and it’s exactly what it sounds like. Every Thursday from 5pm, $69 per person gets you 1.5 hours of chef-selected pasta, free-flowing drinks and even a DJ.

The format is simple. Just show up, eat well, drink freely, and if the night’s got legs, stick around after your sitting wraps. Zaffi already has a reputation for knowing how to run a room, so adding a bottomless pasta format to the weekly calendar feels like a natural extension of what they do best.

At $69 all-in, it’s also one of the better value nights out in a city that has somehow convinced itself $28 cocktails are normal. Having crunched the numbers, it’s actually less than a lot of CBD restaurants charge for two courses, so it feels more than fair. And, we love that it’s on a Thursday, which is arguably the city’s most underutilised night out. It’s not quite the weekend but just far enough from Monday to feel like a genuine celebration.

As for what you’ll eat, the menu rotates weekly and pasta is selected by the kitchen. All that’s left for you to do is sit back and let the chefs do what they do best, no agonising over a menu needed.

Pasta Thursdays runs every Thursday from 5pm. Bookings are recommended and can be done here.
