Originally designed by celebrated naval architect Jack Hargrave and built in 1974 in New York, the 76-foot yacht is one of the few vessels from yachting’s golden era still sailing today. And she’s seen quite the guest list in her time too, having hosted the likes of Carolyn Bessette Kennedy and John F. Kennedy Jr., Queen Elizabeth II, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jay-Z, to name a few. Now, following an extensive 2025 refit, Rhemtide is ready for a new generation of Sydney summers.

Blending old-Hollywood glamour with a touch of European elegance, the classic motor yacht has been given a fresh, contemporary feel without losing any of its vintage appeal. There’s plenty of room to settle in for the day, whether that’s sipping something cold at the flybridge bar, stretching out across the bespoke entertaining decks or retreating indoors as the sun goes down. There’s also an inflatable waterslide and water sports equipment on hand for those feeling more action-oriented, as well as an upgraded sound system to keep things going long after sunset.

Rhemtide will be based at Jones Bay Wharf throughout Sydney’s peak summer season and can accommodate up to 45 guests. So whether you’re planning a birthday, hens’ party or Christmas celebration, or just looking for an excuse to gather your favourite people, this is one way to make a day on the water feel incredibly special.
