The Best Christmas Tree Farms in Sydney
Sydney Christmas Tree Farm
Located in Duffys Forest, on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Sydney Christmas Tree Farm has hundreds of trees to peruse. Trees are priced from around $125, depending on size and bushiness. The team also sells Christmas tree stands made of strong plastic with a water well and clamps to secure your tree.
TIP: Securing the tree on your car roof is simple and tidy. Lay the tree stump forward on the car roof and fasten it from the trunk to the roof racks with ratchet straps.
Bookings essential, opens November 18

Elf Help
For a hassle-free Christmas, a visit to Elf Help is a must, where real trees are available for you to take home. You have the option to choose from a plain or decorated tree. Yes, you read correctly—you can select a theme and the team will decorate it to order. Over and above that, you can also select their signature service, which includes the tree, home delivery, installation, water stand, and pick-up in January. Jump online to pre-book your tree or go into their Inner West store.
TIP: Once the Christmas period is over and you’re ready to part with your tree, most councils will collect Christmas trees for mulching and composting.

Aussie Christmas Trees
There’s something quintessentially Aussie about buying a Christmas tree whilst barefoot surfers wander past on their way to Manly Beach. Aussie Christmas Trees are one of our favourite options when it comes to Christmas flora because, in the true spirit of the season, purchases of trees help support Royal Far West, a charity that supports health care for country kids (find out more here).
Pre-ordered trees can be picked up from 6:00a, on December 7th, with general sales beginning at 8:00am. This seasonal sale offers both potted and freshly cut trees, including varieties like Radiata Pine and Douglas Fir, while supporting Royal Far West children's charity. Walk-ins are welcome, but pre-ordering is encouraged to ensure availability.
TIP: You can guarantee your tree by pre-ordering online and hand-selecting your fir in December. First in, best dressed!

Willy’s Christmas Tree Farm
Located in Sydney’s northwest, Willy’s Christmas Tree Farm boasts around 20,000 trees growing at any time. At Willy's, you can choose a cut-your-own Christmas tree or select from the pre-cut trees. They recommend investing in a sturdy tree stand that allows water to flow freely into the tree's base.
TIP: When choosing a tree to cut down, look for brown or brittle needles. These indicate an unhealthy tree that may not last the distance.

Tomalong Christmas Tree Farm
Tomalong Christmas Tree Farm is a cut-your-own Christmas tree farm. Trust us, this lovely farm in the heart of Kenthurst is a charming place to visit in the lead-up to Christmas. Trees are already available starting from November 23.
The lush paddock trees start from $150 and they'll also be selling pre-cut trees ranging from $100-$200. A trip to their farm will also lead you to enjoy the beautiful Hills District, with roadside stalls for peaches, nectarines and flowers. Plus, the area has awesome cafes and galleries you can visit, too!
TIP: If you plan on standing your tree on a carpeted floor, make sure to lay some plastic beneath the bucket to prevent sap or water stains from forming.
Opening Saturday, November 23
96 Pitt Town Road, Kenthurst
Christmas World
With multiple outposts throughout Sydney, Christmas World is Santa's capital Down Under! As the largest supplier of fresh-cut USA-style Christmas trees, it's no surprise that Aussies flock to Christmas World for their dose of seasonal cheer. Available in-store, these guys have trees of all sizes—from a modest 5 feet to a breathtaking 12 feet tall. Prices start from $110.
TIP: Keep your tree away from heat sources, including lamps, televisions, and sunlit windows. These tend to speed up the process of evaporation, causing the needles to wilt from moisture loss.
Open every day from the last weekend of November
206 Forest Way, Belrose
28 McEvoy Street, Alexandria
9-13 Aspen Street, South Penrith
Merlino’s Christmas Trees
Pine trees grown on farms in Oberon NSW are cut and delivered to Merlino’s Christmas Trees’ warehouse in Five Dock in Sydney’s Inner West. Choose a real cut Christmas tree or a live potted Christmas tree that will last well beyond Christmas day – be it a Monterey Pine, White Spruce or a Blue Star. These guys don’t take pre-orders, so if you’ve left your run a bit late, it’s the place to go.
TIP: When putting Christmas lights up, cut the hook of a wire coat hanger and duct-tape the hook to the top of a 3-foot PVC pipe. With the hook directed up, you can easily lift the lights to the highest tree branches.
260 Great North Road, Wareemba
Dural Christmas Tree Farm
Dural Christmas Tree Farm has mastered the perfectly shaped tree, and for lovers of a white Christmas, the farm offers a snow flocking service – a non-toxic spray that gives your tree a snow-laden effect. The Hills District farm also has online ordering and delivery services for anyone who can’t get to the farm in person.
TIP: Saw 2 cm off the trunk of your tree immediately before placing it in its bucket. This will help with water absorption for fresh, lush needles throughout December.

Open every day from November 29 to December 22, 9am-6pm
