One of Australia’s most celebrated winemakers, Philip Shaw Wines, established his vineyard in Orange back in 1989.

Today, this family-owned and operated winery - now run by three industrious members of the Shaw clan - consists of a tasting room, restaurant and wedding venue, all centred around a restored turn-of-the-century stone barn.

Expect the wines here to have a bright and fruity flavour with intense elegance and complexity.

With views like these, you won’t be going anywhere fast. De Salis Wines’ awe-inspiring location is a head-turner, but that’s not all that makes this one of the best wineries in Orange.

Sitting pretty at 1050 metres above sea level, their Lofty and Forest Edge Vineyards are renowned for dry-grown Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc.

Well worth the visit, this sky-high setting offers a cellar door, relaxed winery tours and barrel tastings every day of the week.

With a glorious view of Mount Canobolas at 1395 metres high, Swinging Bridge Wines offers some of the truest expressions of the region's varieties both in its heritage and Avant Guard labels.

You can visit their intimate cellar door for a guided tasting or book in for the decadent 'Indulge with Swinging Bridge' gourmet experience, which includes a vineyard tour followed by a four-course meal paired with wines. Delish!

Set within the lovingly restored Old March Public School, the cellar door is a convivial space where you can sample varieties matched with cheese boards using the best local produce.

Choose from their collection of Chardonnay, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Merlot, while you soak up the stunning vistas of the vineyard and beyond.
