What’s better than a drink from one of Australia’s most internationally awarded cocktail bars? A drink created in partnership with one of the most unique venues in Italy.

Brought together by Balvenie, the world’s most handcrafted single malt whisky, Sydney icon Maybe Sammy is opening its doors to Moebius for a unique night of experimentation and world-class flavour combinations for one night only on October 23

Diners can head to The Rocks for a paired menu of four tapas courses, each served with an accompanying cocktail from The Balvenie Doublewood 12 Year Old and The Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 Year Old.

Maybe Sammy Head Chef Elijah Attard has designed a menu around The Balvenie stories and flavours, adding a special touch of fresh Australian produce, and highlighting both wild foraged and native ingredients.

In typical Maybe Sammy style, guests are told to “expect the unexpected” as this lively, innovative Sydney icon teams up with one of Italy’s most unique venues.

A constantly evolving space in the heart of Milano, Moebius has many souls: a bistrot, a fine dining restaurant, a cocktail bar, a vinyl store, and live jazz music. With an Executive Chef who has been awarded two Michelin stars in both Italy and Spain, and a high-volume cocktail bar ranked as one of the best in Italy, the chance to see, taste, and experience their unique creations in the flesh should not be missed.

Of course, the centre of attention is the Balvenie single malt. From a distillery nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Dufftown, Speyside, Balvenie has been handcrafting whisky for more than 125 years and produces the most handcrafted of single malts. The distillery grows its own barley, malts in its own traditional floor maltings and still employs a team of coopers to tend to the casks alongside a coppersmith to maintain the stills.

Just like the chefs and bartenders of Maybe Sammy and Moebius, Balvenie is committed to ultimate craftsmanship, with each expression having a very individual taste: rich, luxuriously smooth, and underpinned by the distinctively honeyed character of The Balvenie.

An unforgettable drinking and dining experience, The Balvenie x Moebius pop-up at Maybe Sammy will take place on Monday, October 23. The full set menu experience is $120 per person.

Bookings are strongly encouraged (book here) with only limited tables allocated for walk-ins.
