What are the best types of fashion pieces or brands to shop during Black Friday?
Black Friday is a great opportunity to buy into Australian designer brands you’ve been admiring, particularly pieces with beautiful fabrication, interesting details or a distinctive silhouette.
I’d look beyond the obvious basics and focus on those special pieces that elevate your wardrobe, whether it’s a sculptural dress, beautifully cut trousers or a statement accessory. Brands like Camilla and Marc, One of Others and ROAME. are worth exploring for their distinct design perspectives.
What fashion pieces are you particularly excited about this season?
I’m loving the return to more expressive dressing, particularly interesting textures, soft draping and statement silhouettes that still feel effortless to wear.
For summer, I’m drawn to elevated matching sets and pieces that can transition from daytime dressing to evening occasions. It’s about finding something with personality that doesn’t feel overly trend-driven.
What are your insider tips for finding the best fashion buys during Black Friday?
One thing I always look at as a buyer is the construction of a garment. Small details like lining, stitching, fabric weight and how a piece falls can tell you a lot about its quality.
I’d also recommend looking at designer pieces you wouldn’t ordinarily purchase at full price. Black Friday can be the perfect opportunity to invest in something special, rather than simply buying more of what you already own.
