Coffee, cream and chocolate. This traditional tiramisù recipe from That's Amore will have your dessert-loving heart beating fast.

Tiramisù, That's Amore

When it comes to a heart-warming, sumptuous dessert, you can't go past a healthy slab of traditional tiramisù. Lucky for you, the team over at That's Amore Cheese is sharing their simple yet decadent tiramisù recipe.

Tiramisù Recipe: Ingredients

  • 300mL espresso coffee
  • 4 eggs
  • 80g sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 300g savoiardi biscuits
  • 500g Mascarpone
  • 2tbsp marsala liquor or brandy
  • Dutch cocoa powder for dusting

Tiramisù Recipe: Method

  1. Make the coffee, set aside and leave it to cool.
  2. Separate egg whites from yolks in 2 different bowls.
  3. Whisk egg yolks with honey for 5-6 mins, until pale and fluffy. Add mascarpone and whisk gently until smooth.
  4. Whip the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff, add whites to the mascarpone mixture and fold gently. Set the cream aside.
  5. When your coffee is cool add marsala and stir. Dunk the savoiardi in the coffee, quickly and one at the time, and arrange them in a ceramic tray creating your first layer.
  6. Pour half of the cream mixture over the savoiardi layer. Add another layer of soaked biscuit and spread the remaining cream.
  7. Dust with cocoa powder and leave in the refrigerator to set for at least 4 hours or overnight.
