Double down on wellness this weekend, ’cause yet another luxe new soak and steam house is opening its doors (we truly are spoilt). Vesla Studio is Nordic-inspired through and through, with a spacious Finnish sauna, warm and cold plunge baths, and integrated yoga and Pilates sessions to round out your restorative experience. It opens in Subiaco this Saturday, with casual drop in sessions now bookable online.

Merse Wellness Spa Opens
Opening this Friday, Osborne Park’s Merse Wellness Spa is a serene escape from the everyday, unlike anything else in Perth. Inside the stylish Mediterranean-inspired bathhouse, you’ll find Perth’s largest hot magnesium pool, thermal and infrared saunas, a calming salt room, cold plunge experiences (including an ice fountain and monsoon showers), sound healing, LED light therapy, and more. From Nonna with Love: Stories of Tradition and Triumph
A celebration of family, food and the women who shaped Western Australia’s Italian community, WA Maritime Museum’s latest exhibition feels like a warm hug from home. Step into Nonna’s kitchen and discover stories of migration, resilience and tradition brought to life through personal mementos, photographs and the comforting nostalgia of home-cooked meals.

Picnics At Yanehep’s Lavender Estate
Located only 40 minutes from Perth, Yanchep’s dreamy Lavender Estate has just reopened and primed for spring picnics and play dates. Right now, you’ll find thousands of ornamental lavender varieties on show, with the full burst to come through over summer. Plus, seasonal experiences like distillery tours and botanical cocktails, and a gorgeous Devonshire tea, complete with lavender scones. Before you go, grab a scoop of lavender ice cream and stroll through the gorgeous gift shop.

Terracotta Warriors, Legacy of the First Emperor
If you still haven’t seen the Terracotta Warriors, Legacy of the First Emperor exhibition on now at the WA Museum Boola Bardip, get to it. With more than 225 ancient artefacts on display and cutting-edge digital experiences, this daring exhibit takes you back 2000 years to the Qin dynasty, telling the story of its rise and impact in China. With some artefacts leaving China for the first time, this is your chance to witness a legacy.

Few clubs are as cool as Lawson Flats, so when they open the doors, you do not pass go, you do not collect $200, you head straight in, no questions asked. Open to outside friends via RSVP, Fridays at Luis’ (their vibey bar and restaurant) is the ideal post-work ritual, with great music, happy hour drink specials (5pm to 6pm), $3 oysters and well-priced bubbles all night. If you’re keen to stick around, it’s also a great opportunity to book dinner at the restaurant too.

Cabalitos’ Halloween Weekend
Cabalitos goes hard over spooky season, delivering a one-two punch with all the Halloween fun on Friday 31st October and a major Day Of The Dead party on Saturday 1st November. On the Friday, expect $5 frozen margaritas from 5-7pm, $15 themed cocktails all night long, $25 large format freaky drinks, plus, DJs 6pm til late, face painting and a tarot booth. Saturday has $12 margaritas all night long with 10 flavours to choose from, plus, pole dancing, face painting and free mezcal tastings (5-7pm), as well as a $75 bottomless eats package if you’re keen to indulge.

Johnny Fox’s Spud Fest
A festival dedicated to the humble potato? You know Irish bar Johnny Fox’s has the craic dialled up to 100 for this. Expect a full day of spud-inspired eats, outdoor bars, Irish dancing, live music, family fun and even a Tony Gallati impersonator competition, with the winner scoring a year’s supply of curry chips. What started as a bit of fun has become one of the bar’s most-loved traditions — you’re guaranteed a good time.

Subi Night Markets
Back for another picnic season in the park, this dreamy night market brings a touch of Euro flair to Perth. A rotating line-up of over 40 incredible food vendors turn up each and every week — offering an international smorgasbord of street eats, from Italian arancini and birria tacos to French eclairs and glossy, chocolate-covered strawberries. The Spirit of Little Things bar is back again too, so you can roll out your picnic rug, pick-up some eats and then settle in with a drink or two as the sun sets. Throw on artisan retailers, roving performers and pop-up outdoor movie nights, and you’ll find all the excuses you need to stop in.
