Each year, the award-winning Subi Blooms festival teams up with acclaimed artists and florists to create a series of awe-inspiring installations throughout the streets of Subi, on show from May 8th to 10th. Grab a coffee, set off on a stroll, go for brunch at one of Subiaco’s cafes, then head to the Gather Village for fresh flowers, live music and sips from Bar Amelie. Mother’s Day Hampers at Corner 33

If your Mum loves a luxe little treat, Corner 33 has just dropped the perfect curated picnic hamper loaded with sweet, savoury and everything in between. Created by Chef Angie (former Head of Pastry at Nobu Melbourne) & Chef Khai (ex Nobu Melbourne sushi chef), the $130 hamper features premium Japanese leaning savouries like butter poached lobster rolls, creamy curry crab croquette, Bluefin tuna sushi rolls and spicy salmon onigiri. The sweet stuff is next-level too; seasonal fruit sandos, passionfruit apple tarts, orange cheesecake, raspberry financiers and sourdough scones served with miso maple whipped brown butter and yuzu strawberry jam. Sunday Roast at Besk

This weekend marks the return of roast season at Besk, with weekly Sunday roasts on throughout winter. Kicking things off this Sunday, you’ve got a Black Angus & Wagyu cross rump cap and stout braised and glazed beef cheek served with all the trimmings: roast potatoes, baby carrots, broccolini, whipped horseradish, Yorkshire pudding, and a generous side jug of red wine & port gravy. The Little Bay Nights

With its aesthetic interiors and unbeatable oceanfront locale, The Little Bay has long been a local brunch fave. But soon, you’ll be cheersing well past sunset, with a new monthly dinner session kicking off Friday May 8th. Each month, you’ll find a fresh set menu inspired by a different cuisine or theme. The first takes us to Italy for housemade focaccia, olives, beef carpaccio, and mushroom arancini, followed by your choice of main (Calabrian chicken or blue cheese tagliatelle) and dessert (affogato or Aperol panna cotta). Opening Weekend at Yee-Haw Bar

Taking over the former Jack Rabbit Slims site, Yee-Haw brings two levels of country-themed mayhem that’ll run well into the wee hours each and every weekend. Downstairs, there’s a massive stage for live music and DJs and a spacious dance floor wrapped by booth seating (you know, if you need to catch your breath). Upstairs, you’ll find Dolly’s Lounge — a private escape inspired by the queen of country that’s perfect for birthdays, bachelorettes and more.

The fun kicks off this Friday, with back-to-back country hoedowns — think: live bands, line dancing and DJs washed down with Yee-Hard Lemonade, a dangerous house-batched carbonated punch made with vodka, tequila and lemon.

One of WA’s most significant celebrations of Aboriginal art is returning to Boorloo this April, with the Revealed Aboriginal Art Exhibition (the largest of its kind in Perth) now showing at the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts.
