Subi Spritz Is Back — And It’s Bigger Than Ever
Laneway dinners, spritz-fuelled long lunches and pop-up parties? We're in.
Subiaco’s favourite Euro-inspired food festival is returning from March 26th to 29th, and if you needed an excuse to book in a few long lunches (or three), this is it. Subi Spritz is taking over the neighbourhood once again with a stacked program of tastings, workshops, chef collabs and spritz-fuelled parties, all laced with a distinctly Mediterranean energy.
Here’s what to lock into your calendar.
The Events You’ll Want to Book ASAP
Festival kick-off comes courtesy of An Italian Crafted Pairing Journey at Intuition Wine & Kitchen, where a five-course menu meets expertly matched wines. If you prefer a little friendly competition with your carbs, the Conti Roll Contest also returns on opening night — expect some of Perth’s best sandwich makers battling it out for ultimate bragging rights.
Also back is Lum’s Wine Battle Vol. 4, with Lum’s teaming up with Flowstone and Somos for a European wine face-off, complete with guided tastings and generous grazing boards. Plus, Walmsley Lane will again transform into a pop-up open-air restaurant for one night only for La Cena in the Lane, serving burrata, gnocchi and belissima vibes.

Hands-On (and Very Tasty) Masterclasses
If you’ve ever wanted to make your own burrata, La Delizia Burrata Masterclass at Bar Amelie is your moment. You’ll learn the technique, then settle in at a burrata bar with flowing wines.
Prefer your lessons liquid? The team at Little Things Distilling Co. is hosting a Limoncello Masterclass, where you’ll craft your own version of the citrusy classic.
Wine lovers can book into the Howard Park Wines Riesling & Cabernet Masterclass, or secure a seat at Jété & Jerry, pairing sparkling with oysters thanks to Perth oyster king Jerry Fraser.
Long Lunch Mode: Activated
European-style long lunches are front and centre this year. The Basque Long Table at Lum’s promises a Spanish feast worth clearing your afternoon for, while the European Long Lunch at The Unicorn Bar takes guests across four regions in one sitting.
If French flavours are calling, Champagne, Chardonnay et Charcuterie at La Bastide is serving exactly what the name suggests, and we’re not mad about it.
You can also roam at your own pace with Vino & Cichetti, a self-guided bar hop through Subi’s own take on Venetian bacari.
Aperitivo, DJs & Party Energy
Spritz season wouldn’t be complete without a few vibey sessions. Juanita’s and Friends: Aperitivo Club brings together some serious local culinary talent for a Euro-style party with bold drinks and beats. Over at Mistelle Bistro, L’Apéro du Quartier delivers chic French sharing boards and perfectly chilled spritzes.
Closing out the festival, hospitality heavyweights Ben Ing (FOUND, Alberta’s) and Ben Jacob (Masseria, Cherubino, Cherubino City Cellar) team up for Euro Sunday Sesh, pairing contemporary Italian snacks with standout WA wines and brews, plus DJs on deck spinning Euro-inspired disco tunes.
Street Parties, Art & Pop-Up Experiences
The Kiosk returns to Forrest Walk, transforming the strip into an Italian-inspired piazza with a pop-up spritz bar and Italo disco DJs, including a morning Espresso Disco session with Spins FM. There’s also the Subi Spritz Street Art Tour and a free outdoor screening of Italian comedy hit The War of the Nonni for something a little more laidback.
Now in its fifth year, Subi Spritz has well and truly cemented itself as one of Perth’s most delicious weekends. Whether you’re there for the wine battles, the long lunches or just an excuse to order one more spritz, Subi is the place to be this March.
