Famed Chocolatier Haigh’s is Finally Coming to Brisbane

Few things in life hit like a chocolate Haigh’s frog. In excellent news, Brisbanites will no longer have to go without their fix, with three Haigh’s stored slated to open by the end of 2026.

The artisan Australian chocolate brand will be kicking off the rollout with the first of the three stores in Westfield Mt Gravatt Shopping Centre in August this year. Chermside and Carindale will follow later in the year. Stay tuned for store opening details!

A Little Italy Precinct is Coming to Newstead

Panettiere Developments is set to bring a slice of Euro charm to Newstead with the construction of its luxury lifestyle and retail precinct, which began construction last week.

The $1.5 development will pay homage to the Panetterie family’s Italian heritage, and will include a cafe, an authentic Italian restaurant, pizzeria, artisan gelataria and laneway leading to a central cobblestoned plaza. A later phase of development will see the addition of an Italian-inspired mercato, delicatessen, bakery, pasta and pastry shop, alongside other retailers.

Alongside the retail offering, the precinct will include three residential towers, the centrepiece of which will be ORO, home to 197 luxury residential apartments.

Tower One, ORO and Little Italy precinct are slated for completion in 2029, with the rest of the project aiming to wrap up by 2032.

In Teglia Pizzoteca is Now Open!

Throw out your weekend plans because In Teglia Pizzoteca has just arrived in Newsetad and you’ll want to get some of their Roman-style pizza in your mouth asap. But that’s not all that’s on offer. You might need to clear your whole week to sample the array of goodies coming out of their kitchen, from the signature pizza to fluffy focaccia sandwiches, salads and apertivio.

Designed to fit seamlessly into your everyday routine, In Teglia Pizzoteca is taking the ‘special occasion’ and ‘large-format takeaway’ out of pizza, offering guests a chance to swing by, have a chat and grab a slice.

With an eye to provenance, In Teglia has sought only the best with Australian-milled Mauri flour, Brisbane’s own Casa Motta cheese and small goods from Northern Rivers producer Salumi Australia. Just our kind of place!

Famed Sydney Sandwich Institution is Heading to Brisbane

Originating from a nondescript hole-in-the-wall in Sydney’s Southern Suburbs, Kosta’s Takeaway has expanded to include multiple venues across Sydney, thanks to the popularity of their fresh sandwiches, packed with fillings that go beyond the standard.

Now, the famed sandwich slingers will be expanding beyond NSW with their first Queensland store. Sandwich connoisseurs can look forward to a selection of Kosta’s most beloved creations — the shnitty and the fish sandwich — as well as a few surprises that will be exclusive to the new Newstead venue. Keep your eyes peeled for an opening date!
