Sit
The team behind Marrickville institution Baba’s Place have now opened Sit; a community-focused café built in partnership with a local not-for-profit. Designed as a space for thoughtful seasonal fare and creative connection, this is already a bustling new addition to the neighbourhood’s coffee scene. Menu highlights include mum’s overnight organic oats, a rolled omelette and plenty of coffees, matcha’s and cold brews.

Café Loulou
North Sydney has just welcomed Café Loulou, the newest all-day offshoot from the Loulou family on busy Walker Street. Blending that classic bistro polish with a sense of everyday ease, the menu has a bit of everything from flaky croissants to steak frites and of course, plenty of cult cold brew and matcha on tap. It’s worth dropping in for the Parisian-inspired space alone, which features a striking spiral staircase, marble finishes and a vibey outdoor setting which is just perfect for a spot of people-watching.

Caffe Vicini
South West Sydney just scored a seriously elevated new local. Caffe Vicini has opened at the revamped Cabravale Club Resort, bringing chef Dany Karam’s love of real, handcrafted food to an all-day cafe setting.
Expect over 50 freshly baked pastries and tarts made in-house daily by a Michelin-trained pastry chef, plus deli-style sandwiches starring dry-aged Blackmore wagyu. From flaky Paris-Brest and almond croissants to late-night crepes and waffles (served until midnight on weekends), this is your new go-to for mornings, afternoons and everything in-between.

Grill Americano Caffè has just opened at 1 Chifley Square, bringing a polished slice of Italian espresso-bar culture to the city with quick counter coffees, classic pastries and an easygoing daytime menu designed for busy weekdays (and commuters). With buttery LODE pastries on offer in the morning to polished-but-approachable lunch plates come midday, everything is served within the restaurant’s signature blue velvet surrounds. It’s made for morning coffee on-the-go and those long (business) lunches that accidentally run a little late.
